Ruined, completely ruined world that waits to be reborn Inside the witch’s stomach, the seed of evil From there were born two malice-ridden fragments One is called Gretel For the birth of something brand new Something else shall have to die too Be it your parents or the earth that we hold dear Each cycle put behind her In endless Saṃsāra Her memories disappear All the most crucial bits of the timeline Gretel appears, with malice her eyes shine First, the north lands, a forest couple’s daughter Twin of God, she brought the witch to slaughter Second, south lands, with Lady Conchita Who at long last chased her down to eat her Ended the life of the steward who stressed her Ended the life of the parents who left her Third time, solo, made work on the mainland As a housemaid, for a foreign queen’s plan Born a Marlon, then trained for intrigue Turned and brought her mother to her defeat Then she vanished, having been beaten Resides in the glass with the other demons There she waits, and bides her malevolence For the coming Genesis Late at night when the new moon is reviled Gretel appears with a most ferocious smile Eyes submerged in darkness, she must see things Terrible and grand Be you strangers who met by happenstance Or her parents, who seek a second chance Your salvation depends on who you are Before her eyes you stand Stupid gods failing to protect Mirrors failing just to reflect Oh, to be sure, they’re hardly more than just mistakes Despite their sad potential They remain essential For the planet’s sake She knows their lives could fall through Their subjects could kill them too For all the fun, the world is anything but fair Still, by her side, no other Than her dearest brother Has always been there Gretel has her Hänsel forever, Servants wander the graveyard together Bid farewell to the realm of the dead ones Search for something much newer and more fun Eve, she has her Adam, dedicated Over sinners, she has arbitrated For the pair to atone for their sinning This is the cycle of the beginning Lonely boy, Amostia has no-one No companion for the symbol of destruction Searching onward, futile though it may be For the partner he longs for oh so greatly Riliane and Allen, so regal That’s the Daughter and the Servant of Evil From the black box, make some far-off land Where they’ll play while holding hands These four pathways, which is realised? We just can’t know before this earth’s demise But the reboot just cannot be avoided Whatever we do Even royalty and wealthy dictators Even the twisted souls of Irregulars It will not matter the person that you are You shall be punished too One life echoed over a thousand years As it’s restarting, Gretel appears Knowing not of the destiny she faces Terrible or grand Be it an angel helping humankind survive Be it a crazed familiar leaving none alive, It all depends on the person that you are Before her eyes you stand
