“WAKE UP, YOU LAZY LASSES! WE HAVE AN ENTIRE NEW PLANET TO COOK ON” (Layla's diary, page 01: Day 1 We got woken up from our sleep by a super loud, screechy call over the radio from big sis Alpha. Which planet? What are we even supposed to do there? Can we skip work? We seriously had no idea what was going on. It’s always like this—our big sisters just go, “Hey, you little brats, drag your butts up and get to work. No work, no food.” It’s been like that every time, and I guess it always will be. I could only sigh. And of course, just our luck, this time our field commander is big sis Alpha—the Champion-type soldier ant and also the strictest person ever. We all panicked and scrambled to start up the ship and figure out where to go. The navigators asked, “Big sis, where do we fly?” and she just said, “Straight ahead, until we reach the first planet with life.” It took about 19 cycles and 26 warp jumps to reach our destination, which is a still pretty primitive planet—at least that’s what the scouts said. I really, really hope this colonization mission will be easy. I don’t care what we have to do, as long as it has nothing to do with those octopus things and space dragons.)
