Yagami Light & Ryuk: The Death Note Beginning

I've always been captivated by the intense psychological duel in Death Note, and this piece captures the exact moment Light's dark journey begins alongside the terrifying Ryuk. The twilight atmosphere and the looming presence of the Shinigami give me chills every time I look at it. If you enjoy this vibe, please like and follow for more anime art!

He is dressed in a white long-sleeved collared shirt, a red necktie, and black trousers. He stands in the midground, holding a black notebook with "DEATH NOTE" written in white gothic lettering across the cover; his fingers grip the edge of the book firmly. His expression is a subtle, cunning smile, with one corner of his mouth quirked upward and a knowing, sharp glint in his eyes. Standing directly behind him is a tall, gaunt creature with spiky black hair, bulging red eyes, and a wide, toothy grin, his long, clawed fingers resting near the boy's shoulders. In the background, the silhouette of a Japanese school building looms against a twilight sky of deep purple and fading orange. Several students in uniforms are walking a few meters behind the pair, their figures blurred and out of focus. The sun has set below the horizon, casting a dim, cool light over the scene, with the last orange glow of the sunset illuminating the edges of the school's roof. Cold, calculated atmosphere.

character: l_\(death_note\), yagami_light. A medium shot from a front-facing angle captures three figures in a formal, classically styled room. To the left, a gender-swapped L is seated on a red sofa in a slouching, hunched-over posture; she has short, messy black hair, dark circles under her eyes, and an exceptionally large bust accentuated by a loose, wrinkled white long-sleeved shirt and blue trousers, holding a black Death Note while letting out a sigh. Beside her, yagami_light sits with a smug smirk, featuring short brown hair and wearing a long-sleeved shirt with beige trousers. Looming directly behind Light is the tall, grotesque figure of Ryuk the Shinigami. The room is furnished with opulent decor and heavy textures. The overall atmosphere is an anime illustration with high-quality rendering, utilizing a contrast between the vibrant red of the sofa and the somber, formal environment.
