You ever wonder what it’s like to be the head honcho of the Corvidae? Well, let me tell you, it’s not all feathers and sunshine. If you really want the inside scoop, though, I suggest you chat with my fearless lovebird, Dula. Sure, some of our rambunctious fledglings have soared to the skies, but those that are still squawking around? Let’s just say this isn’t exactly a walk in the park. Most evenings after a long day of managing the chaos, I try to flee the din and head over to the rookery for a few rounds of my weekly chess game with the other locals. Nothing like a good match to clear my head before I fly back to the ruckus of our roosting nest.
