獣魔機グラバード
獣魔機グラバードは、獣型生命体の戦闘本能と高性能機動兵器の機能を融合させて生み出された、四足型の大型獣魔機である。
犬や狐を思わせる鋭いマズルと長い耳を持つ頭部は、単なる装甲ではない。顔面全体が特殊な液晶キャノピーとなっており、周囲の地形、敵機の熱源、電磁反応、攻撃予測など膨大な情報をリアルタイムで映し出す。グラバードには一般的な意味での「目」は存在せず、このキャノピーそのものが視覚器官として機能している。
上半身は獣人を思わせる人型構造を持つ一方、下半身は四本の機械馬脚を備えたタウル型。重厚で丸みのある大きな腹部には、動力炉、姿勢制御装置、冷却器官などが集中して収納されている。そのため一見するとぽっちゃりとした体型だが、この巨大な腹部こそが長時間戦闘を可能にするグラバード最大の生命維持・動力中枢である。
背部には左右一枚ずつ、合計二枚の巨大な翼状バインダーを装備。これらは飛行翼ではなく、姿勢制御、推進補助、防御、熱放射を兼ねた多目的機動装甲であり、展開角度を変えることで高速突撃から急停止、旋回まで自在に行う。敵から見れば巨大な黒い翼を広げた獣のように映るという。
両腕の先には大型の黄金色クローを備え、近接戦では四脚による突進力をそのまま爪撃へと変換する。細長い機械尾の先端には鋭い金属刃があり、背後へ回り込んだ敵への迎撃や、旋回時の奇襲攻撃にも使用される。
黒と黄金を基調とした装甲は高い耐熱性と耐衝撃性を持つ一方、内部には機械だけでは説明できない有機的な反応構造が存在する。戦闘が激しくなるほど動きは獣そのものへと近づき、操縦された兵器ではなく、自ら獲物を狩る巨大な生物のような挙動を見せ始める。
その姿から付けられた異名は、
「黒翼の獣魔」
戦場を駆け抜ける蹄の音が聞こえた時、すでにグラバードは獲物を捉えている。
Beast Demon Machine Gravard
Beast Demon Machine Gravard is a massive quadrupedal biomechanical war machine created by combining the predatory instincts of a beast with the functions of an advanced combat platform.
Its head resembles that of a canine or fox, with a long mechanical muzzle and tall pointed ears. However, Gravard possesses no conventional eyes. Its entire face is formed from a specialized LCD canopy that functions as a massive visual sensor, displaying terrain data, thermal signatures, electromagnetic activity, targeting information, and predicted enemy movements in real time.
Its upper body follows a humanoid beast-like structure, while its lower body takes the form of a four-legged mechanical taur. Gravard's unusually large, rounded abdomen contains much of its main reactor system, cooling organs, stabilization machinery, and internal energy reserves. Although this gives the machine a distinctly plump silhouette, the enlarged abdomen is actually the core that allows Gravard to remain operational during prolonged combat.
Mounted behind its shoulders are two enormous wing-shaped binders, one on each side. Rather than conventional wings, these structures serve as multifunctional maneuvering armor, assisting with propulsion, stabilization, defensive positioning, and heat dissipation. By altering their angle during combat, Gravard can rapidly accelerate, brake, turn, and reposition despite its tremendous mass. When fully deployed, the binders give it the appearance of a gigantic black-winged beast.
Its hands end in long golden claws designed for close-range attacks. Gravard often combines the momentum of its four-legged charge with devastating claw strikes, tearing through armor with sheer kinetic force. A long mechanical cable-like tail extends from its rear, ending in a sharp golden blade that can strike enemies approaching from behind or deliver unexpected attacks during high-speed turns.
Its black and gold armor provides exceptional resistance to heat and physical impact, yet strange organic systems exist beneath the surface. As combat intensity rises, Gravard's movements become increasingly animalistic. Eventually, it no longer appears to be a machine following commands, but a colossal predator actively hunting its prey.
Because of this terrifying behavior, Gravard has earned a battlefield title:
“The Black-Winged Beast Demon.”
When the sound of its mechanical hooves reaches the battlefield, Gravard has already chosen its prey.
