Basilic

Designed by Órban (no, not THAT Orban) and created within 3 months Órban was hired; Basilic along with many other similarly sized large cannon (collectively known as 'monster bombards') stood at ~24 feet/7.32m tall firing off cannons in 2.5 feet/76.2 cm in diameter. Basilic was employed by the Ottoman empire during the siege of Constantinople and did major damage to the walls of Constantinople. However Basilic overheated frequently, only able to fire 3 cannonballs per day and it was non-functional within 6 days, also Basilic frequently killing its own crew, including its inventor Órban. (Author's note: I really couldn't make the walls go further into the background, Basilic as you may imagne was not face planted into the walls like depicted here) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basilic_(cannon)

((realism)), ((realistic)), ((Create a photorealistic image of the 5m tall Dardanelles Gun in action during the 15th century depicted as a 5 meter tall massive bronze cannon, also known as the Great Turkish Bombard, firing on the plain battlefield.)) The gun, mounted on a wooden platforms, should be shown with smoke and flames billowing from its barrel as it launches a giant stone projectile. Ottoman soldiers in period-appropriate armor and in uniforms are operating the cannon, shielding their ears from the deafening blast. The background features a fortified wall under siege, with debris flying as the projectile impacts. Dramatic lighting, with the glow of the explosion casting shadows and illuminating the scene, highlighting the power and scale of this formidable weapon.,AddXL
