Georgius - Golden armor, Golden Eagle

Exploration of planet Phayl did not go well. It can even be said, it didn't go anywhere. Even if the atmosphere was breathable, plant life rich and the soil fertile as well as probably rich in precious resources, the planet itself seemed to not want people to ever set foot on her. All three mechas - three Soaring Seraphs, to be precise - suffered engine or power generator failures due to tempestuous winds and highly electrically charged particles prevalent in the cloud layer. Though fortunately no one suffered anything worse than a few broken bones, Sire Georgius was the only one of the pilots to land his machine without completely breaking it apart. Only after a full-sized destroyer managed to land on the surface the crews were able to fly away from the planet, deeming it unsuitable for colonization. Sire Georgius got his reward for saving his mecha - and his Vessel - relatively intact twice; first time, it was a kiss on the cheek by Speranza, second time - by being chosen to test a new model of mecha called Golden Eagle. The Golden Eagle, here standing partially out of focus, was significantly heavier and bigger than Soaring Seraph, with its strongest points being durability and reliability. Due to these qualities, it got heavily praised by all pilots that managed to fly one, including Sire Georgius. The Golden Eagle boasted not only stronger angines and armor, but also actually had an accurate blade-cannon, much to the surprise of Georgius who knew to only shoot the enemy after getting really close, as the Soaring Seraph's blade-cannon was notorious for performing well in melee but atrociously at range. As a part of a new mecha's equipment, Georgius also received a M7.2 armor, known as Golden Armor - a heavy, but excellently durable set of body armor made for brutal fights as well as exploring irradiated planets.
