Nico Robin

Nico Robin, also known as "Devil Child," is a significant character in the manga and anime series One Piece. She first appeared in the 114th chapter of the series, published on November 22, 1999, and was created by Eiichiro Oda. Initially introduced as an antagonist, Robin later becomes the seventh member of the Straw Hat Pirates crew, captained by Monkey D. Luffy.

Robin's design is inspired by the character Mia Wallace, portrayed by Uma Thurman in the film Pulp Fiction. She is known for her skills as an archaeologist and her ability to read ancient stones called Poneglyphs, which is considered threatening by the World Government. She possesses the Flower-Flower Fruit, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows her to sprout duplicates of any of her body parts from any surface within range.

In the anime, Robin is voiced by Yuriko Yamaguchi in the original Japanese version, and Stephanie Young in the Funimation English dub. She has also appeared in various adaptations, including films, video games, and a kabuki play inspired by One Piece.

Robin's appearance has changed over time, with her eyes becoming rounder and her skin lighter after the time skip, which some fans believe is a deliberate design choice to reflect her happier state after joining the Straw Hat Pirates.
