🌸✨ In this alternate universe, Mio and みお are twin sisters, set in a unified world where the virtual singers of Crypton Future Media, Team TWINDRILL, INTERNET Co., Ltd., and the characters of Project SEKAI: Colorful Stage! feat. Hatsune Miku coexist. 🌙🎶 💜💗💜💗💜 Story 💗💜💗💜💗 The Rhythm of Ten Beneath the Drums The dragon boat did not stop. Carrying the laughter and heartbeats of all ten of them, it continued forward across the glittering river. The flags along both banks swayed in the wind. The cheers of the crowd were gradually pulled farther away by the sound of splashing water, only to be pushed close again by the next wave of drumbeats. Boom. Boom. Boom. The rhythm was steadier than before, and stronger too. Again and again, their paddles struck the water, cutting through the river and sending up white sprays of foam. The rhythm that had been a little uneven at first had, without anyone noticing, become clean and synchronized. With every stroke, the dragon boat seemed to be pushed forward not only by their strength, but by all their feelings moving in the same direction. Miku looked ahead, her teal twin tails lifting in the wind. “We’re about to enter the bend!” she called out, her smile still bright. “Just a little steadier, everyone. We can catch up!” “Catch up?” Teto’s red twin drills swayed lightly in the breeze. Her eyes lit up, and she immediately tightened her grip on her paddle. “Then we definitely can’t lose! Everyone, speed up!” “You’re going too fast!” Rin could not help laughing, though her own paddle did not slow down at all. Len quickly answered, “You’re keeping up too, aren’t you?” “Because I don’t want to lose to you!” Their voices mixed with the splashing water. It sounded like bickering, yet it made the rhythm even livelier. Their paddles entered the water at the same time, sending up waves of nearly equal height. KAITO watched the approaching bend ahead and reminded them calmly, “Don’t lose the rhythm when we turn. The right side, pull back slightly. The left side, keep the power steady.” MEIKO immediately followed up, her voice firm and composed. “Listen to KAITO. Don’t rush. Keep the rhythm steady.” “Got it!” Miku answered at once. Mio stared at the water splashing ahead, her purple eye shining as though she could see straight through the entire river. Her black cat ears flicked in the wind, and the heart-shaped ahoge on her head bounced along with them. “That dragon boat ahead looks so close! Mio thinks we can catch up in just a little bit!” みお quickly glanced at her, her voice gentle but carrying a hint of helplessness. “We can catch up, but please don’t lean your whole body forward. Sitting steady is more important.” “I know, I know.” That was what Mio said, though the end of her voice was still full of excitement. She gripped her paddle again, and this time, her movement was much steadier than before. The river breeze blew toward them, carrying the fresh scent of bamboo leaves and water. Luka felt her own heartbeat quicken along with the drumbeats. She tightened her grip on her paddle and looked toward the bend drawing closer ahead, sunlight and river light reflected in her blue eyes. “Luka.” Gakupo’s voice came from beside her, low and steady. She turned slightly and saw his purple hair being lifted by the wind. The long locks in front of both ears fell to his waist, swaying softly with the motion of the dragon boat. His expression remained composed, yet he had been quietly paying attention to her rhythm the whole time. “There’s no need to rush,” he said. “You’re already keeping up very well.” Luka froze for a brief moment, then smiled. “I’m not rushing.” She looked forward again, letting her paddle fall with the beat of the drum. “I just want to move forward with everyone.” Gakupo watched her quietly, a trace of warmth softening his purple eyes. “Then let’s go together.” The next drumbeat fell. The paddles of all ten of them cut into the river once more. Splash— Water scattered beneath the sunlight as the dragon boat entered the bend with the current. The hull tilted slightly, but it did not lose balance. Everyone’s movements were steadier and more synchronized than before, like a song gradually taking shape. The cheers from both banks rose again. “They’re catching up!” “Keep going!” “Just a little faster!” Voices carried from the riverbanks, blending with fluttering flags, pounding drums, and waves striking the shore. Miku’s laughter, Teto’s shouts, Rin and Len’s playful rivalry, MEIKO and KAITO’s steady reminders, and Mio and みお’s cheerful voices all wove together. The dragon boat continued forward. Ahead, the river shone brilliantly beneath the sun, as though someone had laid a path toward the future across the water. They did not yet know what the finish line would look like. But in that moment, all ten of them held their paddles, listened to the same drumbeat, and moved toward the same direction. And that alone was enough.
