Edirne palace
Prior to the conquest of Constantinople, Edirne was the capital of the Ottoman empire. Construction started under Murad II and ironicly finished under Mehmed II's rule who would move the capital to Istanbul. Edirne palace would be maintained & expanded through the centuries despite being unused. It would suffer a number of destructions both by earthquakes & hostile forces before being destroyed for good in the Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878). (Author's note: Sadly i was unable to add in as many pavilions as i wanted nor able to show the Tunca river in the background. And i am not going to even try to position the minarets correctly, we're all at the mercy of the AI after all). https://edirne.ktb.gov.tr/TR-90121/edirne-sarayi.html
