The Witch's House. AU. Chapter 3.

Ellen continued crying after Viola finally made her stand up yet held her still, feeling she was about to fall again. Ellen sobbed, barely able to put words together as she broke down. "I've had...nightmares...seen things...seeing you dead and gone...I later met...the black cat again...and he...offered me a deal...of keeping you alive...if I became a witch again...and kill more people...and wipe your memories...to make you never...know..." Ellen replied with tears falling down from her eyes. Viola felt horror and terror mixed together like a poison coursing through her body. She pictured the possibilities of her dying and there were many. "The black cat...gave me the power...to go back in time...for free...but whenever you died...I tried...I tried to find...another way to save you...yet it resulted you dying in a different way...and I was unable to stop it...couldn't...save...you..." Ellen kept on going, bleeding out all the confession she had. Each word Viola heard hit her like knives. When a word was formed from her broken friend, she felt like she was stabbed. She wished it was a dream yet her mind tells her this is reality. As more words were added, she trembled and felt like she was going to break down with her friend. "I want...to become...a witch again...to save you...but that would mean...breaking our promise...killing more people...hurting you...and making you...hate...me..." Ellen continued. "But if...I didn't...you would die...and I...would be alone...unable to trust anyone who could...betray and abuse...me..." Then she brought out her last words. "There is...no good friend...like you..." (Alternate ending of Witch's House)
