A quiet Birthday celebration.

December 5th, 2005... She enjoyed the visit from her close friends earlier today; the ones she had more than one lifetime with, the ones who--with her--helped save the world time and again, the ones who know her very much... ...But she doesn't want to forget you. It's astounding how close you've gotten to be with her, and how you're ready to spend your lifetime with her now. In fact, you wanted to prove that by showing how you care about her own craft by pouring your heart and spirit.......into trying to follow verbatim the directions for that textbook chocolate cake. (But hey, at least you managed to find some birthday decorations for it!) Although she appreciates the thought you put into this dessert, you gulp in anxiety; hoping it doesn't taste terrible or uninteresting... ...As this is the woman of your dreams on her very own birthday, and you want to celebrate her life in the ways you know how, and to make it more special than just "the thought that counts".
