Arcanum #2: The Priestess: in the waters of life appear the 2 columns of the temple of Isis, the white and the black, each with 4 capitals that indicate the 4 bodies of sin: physical, vital, astral and mental. In the upper part appears a teacher sitting between two larger columns. She is inside a temple facing us. She shows her left profile, her negative aspect. In her lap she holds a half-open book that is half covered by her cloak. This indicates to us that she is wisdom, she teaches the Kabbalah. In a time long forgotten, during a mysterious era shrouded in myth and legend, there existed a being known only as the Eye-locked Maiden. She was said to possess hair that flowed like a river of silk, adorned with thousands of eyes of all shapes and colors, each imbued with the power of sight.
The history of the Eye-locked Maiden's hair was a tragic and terrifying one. It was said that the eyes embedded in her locks were once those of lost souls, trapped within her strands by a curse that left them eternally doomed to watch the world pass by without the ability to truly see.
For centuries, the secret of the Eye-locked Maiden's hair remained a mystery, until one day, a group of Alpine bees stumbled upon a hidden path deep in the heart of the enchanted forest. Led by the bees, a motley crew of creatures including elves, fairies, dwarves, roe deer, hares, owls, wild boars, badgers, wolves, chickens, and wood nymphs set out on a perilous journey to uncover the truth behind the Eye-locked Maiden and her hair full of eyes.
As they trekked through the dark and treacherous woods, facing all manner of dangers and obstacles, the unlikely allies began to piece together the tale of the Eye-locked Maiden. They learned of her tragic past, of the curse that had befallen her and the souls trapped within her hair, and of the price she had paid for her beauty.
Finally, after many trials and tribulations, the group reached the heart of the forest, where they found the Eye-locked Maiden standing alone beneath a twisted oak tree. With tears streaming down her face, she revealed the truth of her hair and the curse that bound her to it.
Moved by her story, the creatures gathered around the Eye-locked Maiden, their combined magic weaving a spell that would break the curse and set the trapped souls free. As the eyes in her hair blinked out one by one, the Maiden's hair transformed into a cascade of shimmering silver threads, each one filled with the light of newfound freedom.
And so, the Eye-locked Maiden was finally released from her burden, her hair now a symbol of hope and redemption rather than pain and sorrow. The creatures who had aided her in her quest stood by her side, a testament to the power of unity and friendship in the face of darkness.
