Matsuri Dei

Matsuri Dei is Rentaro's 27th girlfriend from 100 Girlfriends franchise. Despite her gothic lolita style and relatively small size, Matsuri is an outgoing and caring person, as can be seen when she comforts a child who was crying at the festival she was working at. Matsuri holds a strong love for festivals and believes that they should be enjoyed to the fullest as a festival and not used solely to ask out someone or the like. She also tends to be loud-spoken and holds a wide stance regularly.

Despite regularly wearing Lolita fashion, she has zero understanding of the subculture. She thinks she is wearing an British version of a happi coat and nejiri headband.

Matsuri's speaking style is based on the Edo dialect, which these days is essentially historical and mostly found in fiction. This interpretation, coupled with the fact that Matsuri is supposedly half English and half Japanese, caused her to speak in a way similar to a fictional exaggerated British accent, with short-form words such as "wot", "guv", "ya daft sod" and "gander".
