グザードは、OVA『超獣機神ダンクーガ GOD BLESS DANCOUGA』に登場する恐竜や爬虫類のような姿をした妖獣メカです。ムゲ・ゾルバドス帝国との激しい決戦から1年後、平和になった地球の伊豆沖の海底から突如として姿を現しました。藤原忍からは「恐竜野郎」と呼ばれています。主な武装は、鋭い爪（クロー）や、口から吐き出す高熱の炎、稲妻のような強力なビームです。

■ アニメ本編での活躍・役割・最後

突如出現したグザードはU2エリアを襲撃します。出撃した獣戦機隊の攻撃を受けると、一度は山の方へ逃げるような素振りを見せました。しかし、それは巧妙な罠であり、急に進路を変えて町の中心部へと向かいます。

町に到達したグザードは、最終的に自らの体を大爆発させる「自爆」を行いました。これにより町一つが完全に吹き飛ぶという、取り返しのつかない恐ろしい被害を出してしまいます。また、劇中ではこのグザードの放った光線によって、式部雅人（しきべ まさと）の父親が別荘ごと吹き飛ばされ、命を落とすという悲しい出来事も起こりました。

このメカの正体と役割は、ムゲ帝国の怨念が生み出した「罠」でした。最初から獣戦機隊を追い詰め、ハメるための「自爆用メカ」として送り込まれていたのです。

Guzard is a biological monster mecha (Yoju Mecha) that appears in the OVA "Super Beast Machine God Dancouga: God Bless Dancouga". One year after the fierce final battle with the Muge Zorbados Empire, it suddenly emerged from the seabed off the coast of Izu, Japan. It features a giant, reptilian or dinosaur-like appearance, which led Shinobu Fujiwara to call it a "dinosaur bastard". It attacks using sharp claws and can shoot high-heat flames and lightning-like powerful beams from its mouth.

■ Role, Actions, and Final Fate in the Anime

Upon its appearance, Guzard attacked Area U2. When the Cyber Beast Force (Jyusenki-tai) intercepted it, the mecha initially seemed to retreat towards the mountains. However, this was a calculated trap. It suddenly changed its course and headed straight for the center of the city.

Ultimately, once it reached the heart of the city, Guzard completely self-destructed. This massive explosion wiped out the entire city, causing devastating and irreversible damage. During its rampage, a tragic event also occurred where Masato Shikibe's father was killed when his villa was blown away by Guzard's beam attack.

In reality, Guzard's true identity was a weapon born from the lingering malice of the Muge Empire. Its primary role from the very beginning was to act as a "suicide-bombing mecha" designed specifically to corner and trap the Cyber Beast Force.
