異界から突如飛来した謎の完全機械生命体の侵略に立ち向かう、本作の主役機にして人類最後の希望。
天才科学者である龍島博士が、独自のテクノロジーにより「クワガタムシ」「オウムガイ」、そして「化石から復元された恐竜」の遺伝子と特殊合金を合成して造り上げた究極の生体メカである。
本機には操縦席が存在しない。強大すぎる野生の力を制御するため、正義感と優しさに溢れる「ある人間の魂」が憑依させられている。現在、機体の内側ではその人間の魂と、シェルザウラー自身の魂（人なつっこい幼い犬のような性格）が同居しており、二つの魂が心を通わせることで真の力を発揮する。
■ 動力源「サイコリアクター」
心臓部に搭載されたブラックボックス。搭乗者（同居する魂）の「感情」に呼応して出力が変動する未知の動力炉。怒りや勇気、守りたいという強い願いによって出力が最高潮に達すると、無限のエネルギーを生み出すだけでなく、「サイコ微粒子」を散布し、物理法則を無視した現実改変能力（奇跡）をも引き起こす。
しかし、開発者の龍島博士が敵の最初の襲撃時に命を落としてしまったため、その詳細な製法や完全な機能は今も謎に包まれている。

・甲竜の尾（テイル・スマッシュ）：鋼鉄の塊を一撃で粉砕する強靭な尻尾。

■ 敵対組織
異界より侵攻してくる完全なメカ生命体軍団。生体部分は一切持たず、「アンチサイコリアクター」を搭載している。感情や目的は一切不明であり、ただ冷酷に破壊を繰り返す。
■ 最近の悩み（シェルザウラーの日常）
心優しく犬のように人懐っこい性格だが、その無骨で恐ろしい怪獣の見た目ゆえに、出撃のたびに「敵の新型メカが出た！」と市民から怯えられている。
また、550トンの巨体ゆえに、ちょっと尻尾を振っただけでビルを倒壊させたり、うっかり人を踏み潰しそうになったりするため、常に抜き足差し足で歩かなければならない。
一番の不満は、「人間に撫でてほしいのに、誰も怖がって近寄ってくれないこと」である。

■ Lore & Background
The main protagonist mecha and humanity's last hope against the sudden invasion of fully mechanical lifeforms from another dimension.
Created by the genius scientist Dr. Ryushima, Shellsaurer is an ultimate biomechanical weapon forged by synthesizing the DNA of a stag beetle, a nautilus, and a dinosaur restored from fossils, combined with special biometal alloys.
There is no cockpit in this machine. To control its overwhelming primal power, the soul of a kind-hearted and justice-loving human was bound to it. Currently, this human soul coexists within the body alongside Shellsaurer's original beast soul—which surprisingly has the innocent and friendly personality of a young puppy. The mecha unlocks its true potential when these two souls synchronize.
■ Power Source: Psycho Reactor
A black box located in its heart. Its energy output fluctuates entirely based on the emotions of the souls residing within. When driven by strong feelings like courage, anger, or the desire to protect, the reactor reaches maximum output, granting infinite energy. At its peak, it releases "Psycho Particles" that grant reality-altering abilities, capable of creating outright miracles.
Tragically, Dr. Ryushima was killed during the enemy's first strike, leaving the reactor's blueprints and full capabilities a permanent mystery.

■ The Enemy
An invading army of fully mechanical lifeforms from another dimension. They possess no biological parts and are powered by "Anti-Psycho Reactors." Their motives, origins, and whether they even possess emotions remain completely unknown as they coldly continue their destructive march.
■ Current Worries (Shellsaurer's Daily Life)
Despite having the gentle, affectionate heart of a puppy, its terrifying kaiju-like appearance causes civilians to constantly mistake it for a new enemy mecha.
Furthermore, due to its massive 550-ton frame, simply wagging its tail out of joy can demolish a building, and it has to walk on eggshells to avoid accidentally stepping on people.
Its biggest heartbreak? All it wants is a good headpat from a human, but everyone is too terrified to get close.
