A seventeen-year-old girl stands
A seventeen-year-old girl stands alone in darkness. Her face is round and soft, full cheeks holding a warm natural flush, a small straight nose, thin lips with a natural downward curve at both corners. Her eyes are large and dark red, sharp in shape but empty in expression—half-lidded, flat, registering nothing. A single tiny dark mole sits at the left corner of her mouth. No other marks exist on her face. Her hair is pure black from crown to shoulder blades, fading evenly into crimson from mid-length to the tips—a quiet gradient like vermilion washed upward. The ponytail is tied high with a worn dark red fabric strip. Several thin crimson strands fall loose over her forehead, brushing against her left eyebrow.
Her body is young and slim—narrow shoulders, a waist that curves inward, hips just beginning to round. But her chest is full and heavy, a G-cup that strains against cloth and iron. The weight of her breasts is unmistakable, pulling the bandages taut, the curve pronounced, the valley between them deep. At the center of each breast, the tips press visibly against the cloth. The bandages are off-white cotton, wound from beneath her breasts upward to her armpits, layer over layer. On her left side the bandages are hidden beneath armor. On her right they are fully exposed, stretched smooth over the heavy curve of her breast and the line of her ribs. At the outer edge of her right breast, exactly where the bandage ends and bare skin begins, a tiny dark mole sits tucked into the shadow of the cloth's hem. A faded crimson stain sits at the center of her chest, and a wolf-tooth amulet hangs from a thin black cord directly over it.
Now the armor. It covers only her left side. Every plate is bright vermilion iron with a matte, worn finish, and every plate carries raised bone-like ridges running along its surface—sharp longitudinal crests that follow the curve of each piece, making each plate resemble a segment of exposed rib. The surface is not smooth; it carries shallow hammer marks and worn grooves from use. Every edge is wrapped in matte black iron.
On her shoulder sits a spaulder of five overlapping plates, each smaller than the one below. The top plate curves wide over her shoulder joint. The lowest tapers to a point past her bicep. Each plate has its own raised bone ridge, and each plate edge is trimmed in black iron. The plates overlap like scales, with dark gaps between them showing the black cord beneath. At the collar, grey wolf fur spills from beneath the top plate, coarse and silver-tipped.
Across her chest, a breastplate shaped like a closed wolf's claw—five curved pointed segments extending from the left side toward her center. Each segment is a separate articulated plate overlapping the next, each ending in a sharp point. The claw cups her entire left breast, the heavy G-cup pressing against the iron from beneath, its full curve visible through the metal. Three parallel engraved grooves run across each claw segment from base to tip, like old scar lines. The claw attaches to a black leather base at her side and is secured at the top by a thick black hemp cord crossing her shoulder.
Below the breastplate, a kusazuri of four long narrow plates hangs from a black leather waistband around her left hip. Each plate is shaped like a long bone segment, tapering to a pointed bottom, each carrying the same raised ridge and black-iron edge. They overlap—front plate outside the one behind it—and grey wolf fur lines the top edge of each hanging plate.
Her left arm is fully encased: a two-plate rerebrace on her upper arm, a circular black-iron couter at her elbow etched with radial grooves, a segmented vambrace on her forearm tapering toward her wrist. Her left hand is covered by a gauntlet of articulated finger plates, each segment stamped with a tiny bone ridge, knuckles reinforced with black-iron bands. A thick black hemp cord ties the armor at her shoulder and waist, with short black tassels hanging still.
Her right side has no armor. Her right shoulder is bare, warm skin and visible collarbone. A deep crimson kimono is draped from under the left shoulder armor across her torso, slipping off her bare right shoulder and bunching into heavy folds at her waist. It cascades into a flowing skirt panel reaching mid-calf, carrying faint black floral patterns woven into the cloth. A thin black cord cinches the kimono at her waist, holding fabric and armor together.
Her left leg is wrapped in black fishnet tights from toe to thigh, a black garter strap at the top. Her right leg is completely bare, with faint pink riding marks on her inner thigh. Her left foot is covered by the fishnet tights continuing over the toes. Her right foot wears a short black split-toe tabi covering only the ball and big toe, leaving heel and arch bare. Both feet are in black lacquered wooden sandals—left strap tight, right strap hanging loose. Her toenails are bright crimson on both feet.
At her right hip, a katana hangs from a black cord. Its scabbard is black lacquered wood with a single thin vermilion stripe running its full length. The blade rests diagonally against her bare right thigh. A tiny wolf-tooth charm is tied to her right wrist with a thin black cord.
She stands with her bare right side turned toward the viewer. Her left shoulder is lifted slightly by the weight of the layered iron plates, her right shoulder relaxed and open. Her black hair falls over that bare shoulder, the crimson tips resting against her skin. Her head is straight, her chin level, her eyes looking forward from beneath her crimson bangs with nothing in them.
The light comes from the right, warm gold illuminating her bare right side—shoulder, arm, leg, the heavy curve of her breast through the bandages. The armor on the left sits in cool blue-grey shadow, turning the vermilion plates to deep rust-dark red. The background is clean and dark and empty. She stands alone—half in light, half in shadow, half wrapped in iron, half in silk.
