She later appeared in Pokémon the Series: Black & White and in Pokémon Journeys. She is based on the heroine of the Nintendo DS games Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, as well as the remakes Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.The most noticeable difference between the two versions is that the anime gives Dawn blue hair, while her game counterpart has a darker shade. Their personalities also vary: the anime portrays Dawn as energetic and cheerful, whereas the original version is calmer and more poised (though still not so ladylike as her manga counterpart, Platinum). Even so, the anime version inherited the trademark vanity seen across all her interpretations, showing more concern for her appearance than most of the girls who have traveled with Ash.Dawn has always been my favorite female character in the Pokémon franchise, whether in the anime, games, or manga.
