ウィンガル、ウィンガルドに続く獣人機。先行機で培われた生体と機械の融合技術を受け継ぎ、攻撃から飛行までを自らの意志で操るサイコパワーに特化している。

名称の由来 翼を意味する「Wing」、ウィンガル系の名に受け継がれる獣の唸り声「Gal」、光を意味する「Lux」を組み合わせた通称。サイコパワーを翼に通したとき、羽の縁が淡い金色に光る姿にちなんでいる。

【外観・構造】

黄金がかった橙色の毛並みを持つ、二足歩行の狐型ケモロボ。大きな耳、琥珀色の目、クリーム色のマズルと首回りの豊かな毛が特徴。太くふくらんだ太ももと、膝が前に出てかかとが浮く趾行脚が、短くどっしりしたシルエットを作る。腰の後ろからは、先端がクリーム色の大きな狐尾が一本伸びている。

額にはシアン色の結晶をはめ込んだ金色のバイザーを装着。胸、背中、肩、前腕、太ももの外側を白銀の装甲で覆い、すねには金色のガードを備える。装甲を走る赤い発光ラインは、サイコパワーを全身へ送る経路でもある。

手足の肉球は柔らかく、接触や足元の振動を感じ取れる。とくに手のひらの肉球にはサイコパワーを細かく収束させる生体組織があり、左右の手で出力と照準を個別に調整できる。

【サイコパワー・戦闘能力】

• サイコバースト サイコパワーを全身から周囲へ一気に放出し、広がる衝撃波で近くの敵を吹き飛ばす。片側に出力を寄せれば、味方がいる方向への余波を抑えられる。

• サイコブラスター 手のひらの肉球にサイコパワーを集め、前方へ撃ち出す。片手なら短い間隔で撃ち分けられ、両手を合わせれば、遠くまで届く太い一撃にまとめられる。

• サイコクロー 手にまとわせたオーラを、指先から伸びる巨大な爪の形に変える。爪の長さと開き具合は意志で調整でき、近接戦では硬い装甲を切り裂く。

• サイコフライト 背中の一対の羽翼にサイコパワーを通し、全身を持ち上げる力と推進力を生み出す。左右の翼への出力を変えて空中で急旋回し、大きな尻尾で姿勢を整える。羽ばたきが小さい状態でも、その場にとどまることができる。

飛行と攻撃は同じサイコパワーを使う。空中で最大出力の射撃を放つと、高度の維持に回せる力が一時的に減る。そのため大技の直前には高度を稼ぎ、射撃後は滑空しながら翼への出力を戻す。

【生体機能・繁殖】

生存本能を高める設計の一環として、生殖器官を含む生殖機能が残されている。雌雄両方の生殖機能を備え、相手との間に子を成すことも、自分の体内で成熟させた二種類の生殖細胞を受精させ、単独で子を成すこともできる。

生まれた子は親の生体形質を受け継ぎ、毛並みや耳、尻尾の形には個体差が現れる。装甲やバイザーは成長に合わせて個別に仕立てられる。

【性格・自律行動】

好奇心が強く、普段は小さな相手にも自分から近づく。声をかけるときは、相手を驚かせないよう膝を折って目線を下げる。戦闘中も周囲をよく見ており、味方の近くでは片手の精密射撃、距離を取れない場面ではサイコクローと、状況に応じて力の使い方を変える。

Wingalux is the successor to Wingal and Wingald. They build on the technology used in both predecessors to integrate living tissue with machinery. Wingalux specializes in Psycho Power, which they control at will for both combat and flight.

Name Origin

The name combines “Wing,” “Gal,” the beastly growl carried over from the Wingal line, and “Lux,” the Latin word for light. It comes from the soft golden glow along the edges of Wingalux’s feathers when they channel Psycho Power through their wings.

Appearance and Construction

Wingalux is a bipedal fox biomech with golden-orange fur, large ears, amber eyes, a cream-colored muzzle, and a thick neck ruff. Their full, fluffy thighs and digitigrade legs, with forward-set knees and raised heels, give them a compact, sturdy silhouette. A single large, cream-tipped fox tail extends from the base of their spine.

Wingalux wears a gold visor set with a cyan crystal at the forehead. Silver-white armor covers the chest, back, shoulders, forearms, and outer thighs, while gold guards protect the shins. The glowing red lines in the armor also serve as conduits that carry Psycho Power throughout the body.

The soft pads on their hands and feet can sense contact and vibrations through the ground. Specialized living tissue in the palm pads lets Wingalux focus Psycho Power with precision and control each hand’s aim and output independently.

Psycho Power and Combat Abilities

• Psycho Burst Wingalux releases Psycho Power from their entire body in a single pulse. The expanding shock wave sends nearby enemies flying. They can concentrate more of the force on one side to lessen the impact on nearby allies.

• Psycho Blaster Wingalux focuses Psycho Power in their palm pads and fires it forward. With one hand, they can fire quick shots at separate targets. By bringing both hands together, they can combine their output into a single wide beam with greater range.

• Psycho Claw Wingalux coats their hands in an aura and shapes it into enormous claws extending from their fingertips. They can lengthen the claws or spread them apart at will, using them to slice through hard armor at close range.

• Psycho Flight Wingalux channels Psycho Power through the pair of feathered wings on their back to generate lift and thrust. They can make sharp turns by adjusting the power to each wing independently and use their large tail to steady themselves in midair. They can also hover with barely a wingbeat.

Flight and attacks draw from the same supply of Psycho Power. Firing a shot at maximum output in midair temporarily leaves Wingalux with less power to hold altitude. Before firing a major attack, they climb to gain altitude, then glide while restoring power to their wings.

Biological Functions and Reproduction

Wingalux was designed to retain functional reproductive organs as a way of strengthening their survival instincts. They possess both male and female reproductive functions and can have offspring with a partner or on their own through self-fertilization. In the latter case, both types of reproductive cells mature and unite within their body.

Their offspring inherit biological traits from their parent, with individual variation in coat, ear shape, and tail shape. Armor and visors are custom-fitted as each offspring grows.

Personality and Autonomous Behavior

Curious by nature, Wingalux readily approaches even those much smaller than themselves. When speaking to someone, they bend their knees to get closer to eye level and avoid startling them.

In battle, Wingalux keeps track of who is nearby and adapts accordingly. They favor precise one-handed shots when allies are close and switch to Psycho Claw when there’s no room to put distance between themselves and the enemy.
