The knights with their noble lineages proven up to four generations deep and their equipment meticulously inspected. They entered the arena with great fanfare. The timing of the tournament was all too strategic, given the major events brewing in the background. It was somewhat of a given that jousting tournaments were organized whenever so many nobles gathered in one place, Duchess Elowen included. But this was no festive celebration, it was more way to create a thread of unity in the underlying reality was that something will decide the fate of their world: The Diet of Worms. Finally, a peculiar woman arrived whose hair caught the immediate attention of everyone below and those around here naturally. Duchess Elowen walked to the front of the crenellations. Completely ignoring the heralds, she waited until the crowd’s murmurs died down entirely, commanding the space for her and her alone: "My lords, noble electors, and most valiant champions of the Empire. They say that Worms this spring is a city of heavy thoughts. Men of the church argue over dusty parchment, and the princes of Europe weigh the fate of empires in cold stone halls. They speak of crisis. But I look down upon these lists, and I see the only truth that matters: that even in the shadow of grave debates, the world must still bow to magnificence. Look at yourselves, gentlemen. Then look at me, Duchess Elowen, ruler of Unterdeufstetten ! As we all bask in April's sun…" The crowd began to murmur. "Is that even a real name?" "Must be one of those Imperial Knight territories." "With hair like that, I suppose she must be a noble…" "Wait, are those mouse ears real?!"
