When Satsuki, a quiet student, wields her baton, she transforms into the Super Idol, Misty May. With her two mascots friends, Posi-King and Nega-King, stuff happens and they ride a broom while doing said stuff. Kubo and Tanaka, with Fukuhara doing character design and animation, took over the anime industry with the concept of "garage video" and created the magical girl show "Misty May" as well as the production company Giant X.Otaku no Video is a parody documentary on otaku fandom and the individuals who would eventually form Gainax (Gaint X). Misty May was inspired by the main character in one of their earlier works, a short animation for Diacon IV's launch.I added Posi-King and Nega-King, but their results are somewhat unusual.
