キャラクター概要とアニメでの活躍

シンバルは、若返りを目論むピッコロ大魔王が、散らばったドラゴンボールを回収するという特命を与えて生み出した魔族です。 作中では、ドラゴンボールを持っていたヤジロベーを強襲しますが、ヤジロベーの予想を遥かに超える強さと剣術の前に圧倒されます。激闘の末、ヤジロベーの愛刀によって真っ二つに一刀両断され敗北。さらにその後、焚き火で「丸焼き」にされてヤジロベーの胃袋に収まるという、ドラゴンボールの敵キャラの中でも類を見ない衝撃的かつコミカルな最期を遂げました。

デザイン設定の裏話

タンバリンやドラムといった他の魔族とは異なり、翼や尻尾を持つ巨大な爬虫類のような姿をしています。これは「ドラゴン（竜）ボールを探す役割を与えられたため、ドラゴンっぽい姿にした」という、鳥山明先生ならではのユーモアあふれるロジックから生まれたデザインです。

This model is dedicated to generating "Cymbal," one of the demonic warriors spawned by King Piccolo from Akira Toriyama's legendary masterpiece, Dragon Ball.

Character Overview & Anime Story

Cymbal is a member of the Demon Clan created by King Piccolo with a specific mission: to track down and gather the scattered Dragon Balls. In the story, he targets Yajirobe to steal his Dragon Ball. However, he is completely outmatched by Yajirobe's unexpected physical strength and swordsmanship. In a shocking turn of events, Yajirobe slices Cymbal completely in half. To make his fate even more memorable (and darkly comedic), Yajirobe then roasts the demon over an open fire and eats him, marking one of the most bizarre and iconic villain deaths in the entire series.

Design Background

Unlike King Piccolo's other offspring, Cymbal has a distinctly reptilian, dragon-like appearance complete with leathery wings and a tail. According to original design notes, Akira Toriyama gave him this appearance simply because his assigned role was to hunt for the "Dragon" Balls—a perfect example of Toriyama's signature literal humor.

This model is highly optimized to faithfully reproduce Cymbal's complex design elements that AI models generally struggle with. It perfectly captures his massive, obese build with a protruding creamy-yellow belly, green skin covered in dark spots, continuous dorsal spikes, fin-like ears, and specific digit counts (4 fingers, 3 toes).
