星を呑み込む深海の悪夢――。
宇宙からの侵略者が、地球の海を制圧するための海底基地建設、およびその絶対防衛を目的として生み出した恐るべき深海生体メカ怪獣、それが「ガスドロン Σ2」である。
分厚い透明な甲殻装甲と深海を照らす妖しいネオンの発光を持ち、その武装はまさに歩く要塞。両目からは10万度の超高熱線を放ち、強靭な牙は海底の岩盤を容易く噛み砕く。鋭い爪は硬い岩盤を掘り進んで強固な基地を建造し、巨大な紫の蛾の羽から垂れるクラゲの触手からは、恐るべき神経毒と高圧電流を同時に流し込む。さらに口からは絶対零度の氷柱とブレスを吐き出し、長い尻尾からは強烈な電撃を放つという、一切の死角がない最強の敵メカだ。
地球を守るヒーローロボットと繰り広げた死闘は、今もファンの語り草となっている。
圧倒的な兵装でヒーローを極限まで追い詰めたガスドロン Σ2だったが、飛び上がり着地しようとしたほんの一瞬の隙を突かれ、無防備な腹部にミサイルが直撃。分厚い装甲に穴が空き、予期せぬ激痛に悶え苦しんでしまう。
その致命的な隙を見逃さなかったヒーローに電撃の尻尾を掴み上げられ、あろうことか自らが建設し、守り抜くはずだった海底基地へとそのまま投げ込まれてしまう。最後は未完成の基地を巻き込み、深海の底で壮絶な大爆発を起こして散っていった。
圧倒的な強さと凶悪なデザインを持ちながら、着地寸前のほんのわずかな隙と「痛み」が仇となり、自らの任務の象徴たる基地と共に滅びるという、儚くも美しい「悪の美学」を体現した伝説の機獣である。

The nightmare of the abyss that swallows stars.
Created by extraterrestrial invaders for the dual purpose of constructing a top-secret underwater base and defending it at all costs, the terrifying deep-sea bio-mecha monster known as "GASDRON-Σ2" was born.
Boasting thick, transparent crustacean armor and an eerie neon glow that illuminates the dark ocean depths, this beast is a walking fortress. Its eyes fire scorching 100,000-degree heat rays, while its massive fangs and sharp claws can easily crush and excavate the ocean floor's hardest bedrock to build its base. The jellyfish-like tentacles hanging from its giant purple moth wings deliver a deadly combination of neurotoxins and high-voltage electric shocks. Combined with freezing icicle breath from its mouth and a long tail capable of unleashing devastating lightning strikes, it stands as the ultimate, flawless enemy mecha.
The legendary deathmatch it fought against the Earth's defending Hero Robot remains an unforgettable moment for fans.
GASDRON-Σ2 pushed the hero to the absolute brink with its overwhelming arsenal. However, in a split second of vulnerability just as it was landing, a missile scored a direct hit on its softer underbelly. The blast pierced its armor, causing the mighty monster to writhe in agonizing pain.
Seizing this fatal opening, the hero grabbed its electrified tail and hurled the beast directly into the very underwater base it was built to protect. In a tragic and spectacular finale, GASDRON-Σ2 exploded alongside the unfinished base, disappearing into the depths of the ocean.
Despite its overwhelming power and terrifying design, a single moment of pain led to its downfall. It is a legendary mecha-beast that embodies the beautiful tragedy of villainy—destroyed alongside the very mission it was created to fulfill.
