**BAS-01A 天鮫級空中生体戦艦「蒼牙」**は、巨大なサメの肉体と重武装の空中戦艦を融合させた、自律思考型の生体兵器である。

蒼牙の口腔部には、自動操縦式艦載機を発着艦させるための航路が設けられている。その発着口の一部だけは、艦載機の通行を妨げないようサイコバリアが常時展開されておらず、わずかな「バリアの空白地帯」が生じている。
敵はこの空白を突き、口から体内へ侵入して破壊工作を行う。内部機関や弾薬庫を破壊されると連鎖的な内部誘爆が発生し、爆圧によって巨大な腹部が異様に膨れ上がる。蒼牙が口先を固く閉ざし、口角からだけ鋭い歯をのぞかせながら、激痛と爆発に耐える姿が戦場でたびたび確認されている。
蒼牙は単なる無人戦艦ではない。
生きた戦艦である蒼牙には搭乗員が存在せず、自ら周囲の状況を認識し、考え、判断し、戦闘を行う。艦載機や火器、飛行経路も自ら制御しており、命令を受けずとも独自に作戦を遂行できる。

The BAS-01A Tensame-Class Bio-Aerial Battleship “SOGA” is an autonomous living weapon that combines the massive body of a shark with the firepower and defensive systems of a heavily armed aerial battleship.
SOGA is equipped with numerous gun turrets distributed across its enormous body, allowing it to unleash overwhelming barrages before an enemy can approach. Its primary defensive system, the supposedly unbreakable Psycho Barrier, blocks virtually all external attacks and makes a direct assault almost impossible.
However, even this seemingly invincible bio-battleship possesses one critical weakness.
Its mouth.
Inside SOGA’s oral cavity is a launch and recovery route used by its unmanned carrier aircraft. To allow these automated craft to enter and leave the body, one section of the mouth cannot remain permanently covered by the Psycho Barrier. This creates a small but unavoidable gap in its otherwise absolute defense.
Enemy units can exploit this opening, enter through the mouth, and infiltrate the battleship’s living interior. Once inside, they may sabotage its internal machinery, ammunition storage, or biological organs.
Such attacks often trigger a chain of internal detonations. The resulting pressure causes SOGA’s enormous abdomen to swell outward as explosions spread throughout its body. During these incidents, it is frequently seen clenching its mouth tightly shut, concealing the teeth near the front of its snout while baring only the sharp teeth at the corners and sides of its mouth as it struggles to endure the pain.
SOGA is not merely an unmanned warship.
As a living battleship, it has no crew. It observes its surroundings, evaluates threats, makes decisions, controls its weapons and carrier aircraft, and acts entirely by itself.
Individual units also display distinct personalities. Some obey every command with unwavering loyalty, while others refuse orders, oppose their commanders, or act according to their own judgment. Their behavior sometimes resembles anger, fear, pride, pain, and defiance.
Because of these differences, many researchers believe that SOGA may be more than an advanced artificial intelligence.
