Posting slowly, but still posting! After watching Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 (again) in one sitting I felt inspired to try and get more "screencap" style images with that grittier vibe that just feels "the aftermath of Shibuya." I especially love how the cursed energy turned out! Like Hakari notes Gojo said his cursed energy is "rougher" and more abrasive than normal, I always pictured Sayaka's cursed energy as "softer" and more flowing. ____________________ Dissonance “Dissonance” is one application of Sayaka’s cursed technique, which fundamentally allows her to manipulate the vibrations of cursed energy through her sword, similarly to a tuning fork. By shifting the frequency of her own cursed energy to one directly opposed to that of her opponent, Dissonance allows her to temporarily disrupt—and, under the right conditions, even nullify—their cursed technique. To use it successfully, Sayaka must first gain an accurate read on the “flow” of her opponent’s cursed energy. The more powerful and complex the opponent’s technique is, the more cursed energy she must expend to counter it. Sayaka once used Dissonance against Gojo and briefly broke through Infinity, though the effort left her too exhausted to continue their sparring match.
