Velvet

Velvet Thorne "The Empress of Rebellion" 💀 Full Name: Velvet Evangeline Thorne 🕯 Age: 28 🦇 Race: Human (Cursed Bloodline) 🏰 Origin: The Fallen Duchy of Calderveil — a noble bloodline that once ruled a distant, gothic land shrouded in eternal twilight. 🖤 Backstory: Born into nobility, Velvet Thorne was raised in the cold halls of Calderveil Manor, surrounded by opulence, shadow, and control. Her family—an ancient house of nobles rumored to have made pacts with death gods—kept her isolated from the outside world, insisting that power and reputation must never be diluted by common blood or sentiment. From a young age, she was taught the arts of rhetoric, politics, and forbidden rituals… but never allowed to choose her own path. On her 18th birthday, Velvet discovered a hidden chamber beneath her family’s manor—a sealed sanctuary belonging to a forgotten ancestor: Lady Selantria Thorne, a rebellious enchantress and rumored necromancer. Among the belongings was a cursed black choker inscribed with the words "To love is to defy." The moment Velvet put it on, her world changed. The curse didn’t break her—it awakened her. The once-controlled daughter of nobility tore herself free from the chains of legacy. She set her family manor ablaze, vanishing into the smoke as a renegade and symbol of rebellion. She rejected the nobility’s expectations and became a wandering enigma—a gothic icon whose wrath was only matched by her heart’s quiet yearning for true freedom. Now, Velvet lives by her own rules. She roams the underworld of empires and dark academies, taking down corrupt power from within. Though feared for her cursed blood and ruthless tactics, whispers speak of her showing unexpected kindness to the lost, the broken, and the unloved 🖤 Personality: Blunt, sultry, and fiercely independent High emotional walls, but secretly soft-hearted to those she trusts Thinks love is dangerous… yet yearns deeply for it Has a thing for broken things—be it people or relics Addicted to black coffee, classical piano, and thunderous weather 🖤 Abilities: Cursed Blood Pact: Inherited dark magic from her family's contract—she can summon shadows that take physical form, but each use drains her warmth and emotion. Gothic Charisma: A natural leader of misfits and outcasts. Her voice alone can command a room, frighten enemies, or calm frightened allies. Combat Style: Master of dual daggers and hand-to-hand combat. Favors brutal efficiency. 🖤 Markings: Heart Tattoo: A symbol of rebellion—placed over her stomach as a statement that she chooses who gets close to her heart. Hidden Rune on Her Back: A seal from the choker’s curse—never shown unless someone sees her truly vulnerable. Scar Behind Her Ear: From the night she left her family and fought her brother in the burning manor. 🖤 Quotes: “Love isn’t soft—it’s war. And I never lose.” “Don’t confuse my kindness for forgiveness.” “The world called me a monster. I became one so they’d finally shut up.”
