Valentia
The 'Angel of Slaughter' begins her revenge, even if it is doomed to fail. Having followed Grace and Dei'vota at Prosperus' request (neither he nor Grace trusted Kyrie), Valentia's normally calm mood begins to turn to sick joy as she realizes they are entering the Spire of Sorrows, the lair of her hated sister Daeva. With the flames of vengeancedriving her black heart to a pulp, Valentia slips into the Spire quietly, completely ignoring Grace and Dei'vota, consumed by her desire to face once again the one who had defeated and humilliated her. After witnessing the battle between Grace, Kyrie & Plaisance, and seeing Daeva enter the fray, the 'Angel of Slaughter' lets out a long-suppressed cry of excitement and springs into action. The fight between the two is witnessed only by Kyrie. Valentia, having spent years training her body and mind for this fight, manages to keep Daeva's illusions at bay, for the first time seeing a glimmer of surprise in her sister's expresionless face and being absolutely certain that it is real (and not an illusion). The two battle fiercely, and as minutes passed, the fight intensified, with Valentia pressuring Daeva to the point of cutting her cheek. This ultimately ended the fight, as Valentia became exposed just enough for Daeva to ground one of her Morningstars into her skull in a carefully crafted trap. Valentia fell instantly, collapsing without even understanding what had happened. In her final moments, she felt an enormous sense of helplessness and a visceral hatred for Daeva, who ultimately finished her off.
