Matching ears stand tall from the top of her head, twitching in irritation every time she breathes. Shoko, to her credit, is trying very, very hard not to smile. “…so it really just hopped out of the storage closet and touched you?” Sayaka sighs. “I didn’t know it was a curse. It looked like a ferret in a hoodie.” A beat passes. “…A very fast ferret.” Shoko hums and wheels her chair closer, tilting Sayaka’s head gently to examine the base of the ears. “Well, the good news is it’s temporary. Not a transformation, more like... a cosmetic overlay. No pain?” “Just my ego.” “That’s not medically relevant.” Before Sayaka can retort, the infirmary door bursts open. It doesn’t creak. It doesn’t slide. It slams with the energy of a man who has never entered a room normally in his life. “Shoko! Someone said Say—” He stops mid-stride. His head tilts, blindfold doing nothing to hide his shock. Then: “Get. Out.” Gojo, absolutely delighted, salutes and saunters away. “If the curse hits you again, text me! I wanna see the seasonal variants!” The door slides shut. Shoko pats Sayaka’s arm sympathetically. “…you know he’s never letting this go, right?” Sayaka drops her face into her hands, her ears floping forward. “…I know.”
