Urashima Taro

One day, Taro, a fisherman, rescued a turtle that was being bullied by some neighborhood rascals on the beach. The turtle thanked Taro and went away, but after a while it reappeared and said, "I told Princess Otohime of the Dragon Palace about you. She was very moved. She wants to thank you, so please come." Surprised but delighted, Taro climbed onto the turtle's back and rowed out to sea. Taro was worried that the turtle would dive underwater, but thanks to its mysterious power, Taro was able to breathe, withstand the pressure of the deep sea, and maintain his vision without any problems. Relieved, Taro's heart pounded with excitement at the prospect of a new world and meeting the beautiful Princess Otohime, and he set off on his journey to the Dragon Palace.
