Charuzu (or Charu for short) is a member of his university campus's exorcism squad, tasked with hunting down and eliminating all otherworldly demonic threats that prey upon the residents of the university and surrounding city. Despite undergoing highly advanced spiritual and combat training with various weapons and spells, the Exorcism Squad has an unfortunately high mortality rate, with members often being either slain, eaten, absorbed, or corrupted into the very same dark creatures they are attempting to destroy. Understandably, Charu has a very high level of tension and nervousness whenever he's on assignment, having gone through many close calls himself. In spite of his nervous demeanor, however, he is exceedingly skilled with his swords and holy magic abilities.
