Trissa von Trotha AKA DMS Frankfurt

Trissa Fernanda, Freiin von Trotha The reborn kami of the Great War-era light cruiser SMS Frankfurt, she was interned at Scapa Flow after the war ended and would have been scuttled in 1919 prior to the signing of the Treaty of Versailles; she was beached and saved. The following year, she was surrendered to the United States, where she would be used as one of three target ships in 1921 by then-Brigadier General Billy Mitchell when he moved to prove the potency of air power on naval ships. Off the Virginia Capes she would lay until the summer of 2012 when she was prompted to return as Trissa Fernanda von Trotha. As she is the namesake of a major city, she got the honorific Freiin ("free woman", equivalent to a British baroness) applied to her name; her family name Trotha comes from a knight of the XV Century who served as marshal of the Electors of the Palatinate territories to the south and west of Frankfurt itself. Like her fleetmate Genoveva von Cirksena (SMS/DMS Ostfriesland), Trissa would travel to Brockton Bay in Massachusetts after her salvage and Gifting; in the history of TEOTC, both SMS Ostfriesland and SMS Frankfurt spent time at the Navy base in the Bay (where the Boat Graveyard sits today) before being used as targets for bombers. Once there, the two shipgirls would encounter the neo-Nazi Empire 88, followers of the philosophy that came to nearly destroy the Fatherland in ways that neither Genoveva nor Trissa could ever conceive of. The battle that followed sent the white supremacists packing back into the shadows, then the two shipgirls would encounter the Undersiders under Tayor Hebert (Skitter) and the local Protectorate branch under Colin Wallis (Armsmaster). Shortly thereafter, the existence of shipgirls as a whole was revealed by the VERY public salvage and Gifting of KMS Bismarck (later Luisa von Bismarck) near the passenger liner RMS Queen Mary 2. With that, President Jed Bartlet (from The West Wing) issued an Executive Order allowing the two German shipgirls to return home, which they did, they then joining Forschungsbüro "S" to see starship versions of themselves constructed. Of course, given what good the two shipgirls did, they're always seen as welcome in Brockton Bay...
