So, some bright spark of a wizard had the utterly ruthless idea: what if we could magically reshape dao into living mining machines? And that is where the Miner Genies come from. Miner genies are as wide as they are tall, though admittedly they're not that tall compared to their dao ancestors; their height has been reduced so that they fit through narrow tunnels more easily. Their arms and legs are thick and powerful, and their hands end in digging claws so exaggerated that miner genies can no longer use their hands to wield tools or even eat; they must feed using their tiny snouts, like animals. In fact, these claws grow continuously and need to be worn down with constant digging - as little as a week without working will leave them crippled with painfully ingrown claws. Their heads are bullet shaped, and they are entirely hairless. They even eat stones... but this wasn't really something that unusual for the dao in the first place. These tasked genies are far more manageable than their dao ancestors, and some wizards have... joked, let's go with that, that they should turn the entire dao race into miner genies and then they'd be less of a pain in everybody's ass. The dao's official policy is that the miner genies are abominations and should be given the "mercy" of death once rescued from their wizardly creators. Of course, they'd be considering them a brilliant idea if they'd been created from anything other than their fellow dao, and in practice, the dao seem to have a strange knack for finding excuses to keep miner genies at work in their own personal delves, digging up valuable ores and precious metals. Needless to say, miner genies are a universally grim, self-pitying lot, prone to fits of sudden rage; they despise the wizards who created them, the dao who abandoned them to this fate (and continue to exploit them), and most of all they despise each other. Even when free, they prefer dim light and dusty mines, where no genie or slave can see the dishonorable state to which they have been reduced, and strive to avoid each other's company at all costs; no miner genie wants to risk birthing a child that might be similarly altered as themselves. Perhaps because of this, they are fiercely protective of and caring towards dao children, and many dao nobles find another use for miner genies as guardians for their own bastard offspring, leaving them down in the mines under the care of a miner genie guardian until a proper place for the ill-begotten child can be found. And if the kid ends up magically mutating into a new miner genie because mom or dad took too long? Well, that's the problem solved in its own way, isn't it? Miner genies are impervious to the touch of stone weaponry, and like a true dao they can assume the form of a cloud of living dust once per day, mimicking the Gaseous Form spell. They have a 75% chance to detect poisonous gases and unstable mine shafts, can cause up to 1,500 square feet of any tunnel they have personally dug to collapse by just touching the stone, and can cast Detect Metal or Mineral, Dig, Faerie Fire and Water Breathing, each once per day.

As their name suggests, they are essentially a variant of the Guardian Genie that was bred to serve as the protectors of collections of concubines and lesser spouses, whether female or male - this means you see harim servants more commonly than selama servants, because polygyny is more common than polyandry outside of certain circles (like the drow), but the two sexes are identical in their abilities and mindsets. Anyway, harim servant genies resemble tall, muscular, rather plain featured human men or women, and are characterized by their strong paternal feelings towards their charges; they demand respect and won't hesitate to punish unruliness, but they are naturally caring entities who view their charges as surrogate offspring and treat them as such. They genuinely enjoy their work, which consists of both booting out anyone who dares to sneak in and seduce the residents of the harim and caring for the harim's occupants, and they actually enjoy serving in the mortal realms - amongst the boudoirs of the noble genies, the harim genies are regarded largely as menial servants, so they enjoy the greater respect that mortals give them. In fact, they like it so much they usually don't charge much for their services. A typical harim servant genie's daily tasks range quite widely, and they are talented in many domestic and entertainment related skills, liberally spicing up their efforts with the use of the Cantrip spell - what later editions would dub "Prestidigitation". They often double as storytellers, singers, dancers, and comedians, and many pass these skills on to their charges. What a bright nobleman (or woman) should always keep in mind is that this strong emotional bond that a harim servant forms with its charges means it almost invariably comes to emphasize their wants over those of the genie's ostensible master, and this only doubles if their master is cruel or disrespectful to the genie - harming the harim or taking it away can drive a harim servant mad with grief and rage. If truly offended, they may even assist the harim's members in escaping or pursuing affairs, or even become a lover themselves in very unusual circumstances! Genies will respect a harim servant's presence and avoid disturbing its members without the servant's permission - for example, if the harim servant knows that an intruding genie will help a harem member escape an abusive or neglectful harem master for a kinder lover. The few magical abilities of harim servant genies are all intended to be used to protect, entertain, and serve their charges. They can cast a Cantrip, Control Temperature 10' Radius, Mending, and both Minor Creation and Major Creation, all thrice per day, and they can cast Alarm and Create Food & Water once per day, in all cases as a 9th level caster. If forced to fight, they employ their great strength with either their bare hands or twin scimitars.

These assholes live to stir up trouble; they combine the minds of immature pranksters with a sincere belief that the entire world is one grand fiction - a game or toy made for their amusement. In the mind of a deceiver genie, no trick is too low or too difficult; treasure, sleep, and food are all happily sacrificed in pursuit of a truly cruel scheme. Favorite tricks of deceiver genies include sending hapless victims over illusory bridges, chasing illusory oases, or even making them argue with one another over trivial matters. They also enjoy sending unnerving messages to sentries, caravan guards, and other watchmen. The only kind of "trick" they dislike is anything that requires them to usurp the place of others; unrepentant cowards at their core, spending prolonged periods around others, even veiled in powerful illusions, makes them jumpy as kangaroo rats on a hot sheet of tin. As such, they only pretend to be other people if ordered to or if a truly grand plot requires it. It's difficult to get a look at deceiver genies, because even when not using their powerful spell-like abilities, they naturally emit an illusory shield that makes them hard to hit, much like a displacement spell. If revealed for what they are, they are tall, gaunt, and ugly, with spindly arms and legs contrasting their large heads, hands, and feet. Their long fingers are capped with nails of sharp steel - although they hate to get into melee, these nails combined with their frenzied strength make them viciously effective at gouging out the eyes of their attackers. Their iconic features are mottled gray skin, blond hair, and heterochromia; one eye is always blue, and the other is always brown. These genies are usually found at the command of the noble djinn or extremely powerful jann or sha'irs, who use them as saboteurs, assassins, and otherwise agents of chaos and confusion in the ranks of their enemies. This is a highly risky gambit, however; if not kept busy at work deceiving other people, these genies quickly turn to spinning webs of lies to manipulate their supposed master, and the master has to take great care to keep the deceivers away from any people they truly care about or who could cause real harm; in the deceiver's world-view, loyalty to a master does not equate to loyalty to that master's retainers, cohorts, servants or loved ones. On the rare occasions, they're not in servitude, they build small, well-concealed villages. Furthermore, because deceivers lie as readily as they breathe, even a master using magical means to enforce loyalty cannot trust the word of these genies - not even the most powerful Charm Monster or similar spell can compel them to speak the truth. The only reason anybody is willing to tolerate these colossal pains in the ass is because they are amongst the most magically powerful of the Tasked Genies, with a truly formidable array of illusionist abilities. What's even more impressive is that their caster level for all of these spell-like abilities is 24th - Do you have any idea how rare that kind of power is for a non-epic tier monster? At-Will: Change self, delude, false vision, tongues, misdirection, undetectable lie, and whispering wind. 2/day: distance distortion, mass-morph, spectral force, and shadow magic. 1/day: invoke disbelief, projected image, solipsism, and sun dazzle. 1/week: mass suggestion (up to 24 levels or HD of creatures) or create a permanent illusion, programmed illusion, or veil. Ironically, the same obsession with deception actually gives these genies a vulnerability to illusion magic themselves, inflicting a -1 penalty to all saves vs. illusion/phantasm magic. Deceiver genies aren’t very interested in wealth, but they’re great fans of the arts, which they consider a formal but fascinating form of lying. They will never harm a storyteller or tasked artist genie, though they may still confuse them.

character: eren_yeager, mikasa_ackerman character: eren_yeager, mikasa_ackerman Mikasa Ackerman and Eren Yeager are captured in the middle of a desperate ODM maneuver above a ruined city street, with Mikasa much closer to the camera and Eren cutting across the background at a different angle. Mikasa twists her entire body sideways as she launches past the viewer, one arm extended forward with a blade in hand while the other reaches back toward Eren. Her black hair whips violently across the frame and her red scarf streams far behind her in a long sweeping curve. Eren is several meters behind her, angled sharply in the opposite direction as his ODM cables stretch from his gear toward a damaged rooftop, his green jacket and hair blown backward by the speed of the maneuver. The perspective is extremely dynamic: Mikasa's outstretched hand and blade are large in the foreground while her body rapidly narrows toward the center of the image. Eren appears smaller but perfectly clear behind her, creating a strong diagonal connection between them. Their ODM cables slice through the composition as thin steel lines, crossing the image at different angles and disappearing beyond the frame. One cable passes extremely close to the camera, creating a dramatic foreground line. The ruined city beneath them is not shown as a wide landscape. Broken rooftops, shattered windows, hanging masonry, and fragments of brick rush diagonally through the lower portion of the composition, giving the impression of immense speed. Several pieces of debris are suspended around Mikasa and Eren, each frozen at a different distance from the camera. Dust catches the sunlight in thin atmospheric streaks. Mikasa's Survey Corps uniform is sharply detailed and windswept, with the cropped brown jacket open over the fitted uniform, harness straps pulled taut across her body, white trousers, tall boots, and the Wings of Freedom insignia clearly visible. Eren wears his recognizable Survey Corps uniform and green jacket, with his harness, ODM equipment, and boots rendered with precise mechanical detail. A subtle graphic-design layer is integrated into the composition without overpowering the action: Wings of Freedom emblem are overlaid across the sky, Thin white directional lines follow the trajectories of Mikasa and Eren, while small restrained military-style markings and typography sit along the edges of the frame. The graphic elements reinforce the movement rather than becoming random decoration. The entire image is frozen at one extraordinary instant: Mikasa's scarf curves through the air, Eren's jacket flares behind him, cables are pulled completely taut, debris hangs in the air, dust streams diagonally through the sunlight, and both characters are caught at different points of the same sweeping maneuver. Nothing feels static. Painterly digital anime illustration, expressive textured brushwork, cinematic motion frozen in a single frame, extreme wide-angle perspective, dramatic foreshortening, strong diagonals, layered depth, detailed characters, flowing hair and fabric, taut cables, airborne debris, warm sunlight cutting through cool gray ruins, muted military colors with Mikasa's red scarf as the strongest accent, sophisticated composition, subtle graphic design, powerful silhouettes, intense expressions, visceral sense of speed, beautiful atmospheric lighting, energetic, cinematic
