On the left side stands a ((tall, muscular anthropomorphic alligator girl with purple scaly skin, a long snout, and messy aubergine hair falling over her eyes)), her wide jaw parted in an intimidating smirk to reveal an ((open dark mouth with sharp pointed teeth and a red tongue)). Fine ((freckles)) dot the bridge of her scaly snout, with her ((yellow sclera and black pupils)) obscured by her heavy bangs. She wears an ((oversized dark purple jacket draped over a plain white shirt, paired with loose, baggy blue torn jeans and black shoes with black soles)), standing firmly on both feet with a tailless lower back, her silhouette completely smooth and tail-free behind her baggy denim. On the right side of the alley stands a heavy bipedal red crocodilian creature on thick digitigrade legs, sporting a distinct black mask-like band across its yellow eyes, sharp white fangs jutting over its snout, black horizontal bands circling its torso, a pale underbelly, and sharp white talons on its hands, its tapered red tail resting against the ground. The narrow gap between the soaring brick buildings catches the direct midday sun as a blazing vertical ribbon of light striking the fire escapes and rooflines high above, while casting tight, stark black shadows directly beneath both figures' feet, leaving the lower alley floor enveloped in cool, dim shade. Small puddles nestled in the broken asphalt cleanly mirror the thin strip of bright noon sky overhead. Gritty tension.
