Maomao's Little Serpent Friend ✨

I'm absolutely captivated by Maomao's unique charm in this piece, especially with her little green companion coiled so peacefully around her arm. There's something so endearing about her confident grin and the way she handles the snake, perfectly capturing her curious and fearless personality. If you love this brilliant apothecary as much as I do, please give it a like and follow for more! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below.

character: maomao_(kusuriya_no_hitorigoto) 1girl, solo, dark green hair, blunt bangs, hair bun, hair beads, hair ornament, long hair, blue eyes, earrings, freckles, chinese clothes, hanfu, rolled up sleeve, bare forearm, snake, snake on arm, coiled snake, looking at animal, leaning forward, smirk, blush, cowboy shot, slightly from above, three-quarter view, traditional apothecary, wooden interior, hanging herbs, soft daylight, depth of field Slightly from above in a three-quarter cowboy shot, a young woman leans forward with eager absorption, her torso tilted toward the viewer while her gaze fixes entirely downward on a slender green serpent coiled around her raised right arm. Her dark green hair is parted neatly with straight blunt bangs across her forehead, the rest gathered into twin buns secured with polished hair beads and subtle dangling ornaments, small silver hoop earrings glinting at her earlobes, and faint freckles scattered across the bridge of her nose. She wears a traditional jade-green and cream hanfu robe whose right sleeve is pushed high above the elbow, the fabric bunching against her bicep to bare the pale skin of her forearm. Wrapped three full turns around her forearm, the emerald-scaled snake grips her limb with muscular tension, slightly indenting the soft flesh beneath its cool underbelly, its wedge-shaped head poised erect just above the back of her wrist with a black forked tongue tasting the air. Her left hand hovers close to the serpent's neck with curled fingertips, poised in fascination rather than fear. Her dark blue eyes gleam wide with eccentric delight, lips parting into a thrilled, lopsided smirk alongside a satisfied flush on her cheeks. Diffuse daylight streams from a wooden lattice window to the side, throwing specular highlights along the glistening dorsal ridges of each scale and casting a soft diagonal shadow across her lap. Behind her, out of focus, wooden apothecary shelves display earthenware medicine pots and bundles of dried roots hanging from timber rafters. Eccentric wonder.
