USS Ingonish

Namesake of a small fishing village on the east coast of Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, this is the shipgirl AI of USS Ingonish, created in 2370 as the synthetic "soul" of a modified Sabre-class destroyer tasked with minelaying work. Like many of her sisters adopted of the Mayflower Province, she would become a member of the Order of Good Cheer, whose Starfleet wing would be formed of ten shipgirls calling that province their home. Ingonish would serve in her original hull through the Dominion War, coming out of said conflict quite well even if her crew - like those of her fellow Port Weller SIs and many other shipgirls across Starfleet - seemed to de-age right before her eyes as experienced officers and service personnel were drafted off to help form the core of new command crews for replacement ships. She would be paid off in 2385, getting a Da Vinci-class mine warfare destroyer two years later, on which she serves on to this day. Ingonish is an adopted Mi'kmaq of the Unama'ki council fire which call Cape Breton Island home.
