She had discovered a very strange phenomenon. Every café she visited seemed to be holding the same kind of event: **Bloomer Cosplay Day**. First came the café with red bloomers and an orange apron. She worked there for a while, smiling brightly as customers poured in. Then she moved to another café, this time with a green apron and matching green bloomers. Somehow, even more customers followed. Finally, she arrived at a third café, wearing blue bloomers beneath a neat white apron. And everywhere she went, the same thing happened. She brought customers. Lots of them. The cafés loved that part. There was just one tiny problem. Whenever a fresh cake came out of the kitchen, she would carefully cut a little slice. “Just checking the quality.” Another cake appeared. “Hmm… this one needs testing too.” Then another. “And this one might be even better.” By closing time, several cakes had mysteriously acquired missing slices. The customers didn't complain. Quite the opposite—they watched her taste every cake with great amusement and happily ordered whatever she recommended. “Try the strawberry one!” “Chocolate is better!” “The cheesecake just came out!” From the dining area came enthusiastic agreement. The management, however, watched their cake inventory disappear with increasing concern. She eventually stood behind the counter, completely innocent. “What? I'm helping customers choose!” The manager stared at the half-eaten cakes. “You've been *helping* at three cafés this week.” She smiled. “And every one of them had record customer numbers.” The manager sighed. That was true. But as she reached for another tiny fork, the manager quickly grabbed the cake away. “**No more taste testing today.**” She looked genuinely disappointed. The customers, meanwhile, immediately started laughing. Someone at the nearest table raised a hand. “Can we order the cake she was about to taste?” The manager paused. “…Fine.” She grinned. Perhaps the strange little habit wasn't entirely bad for business after all.
