Personal - On a fishing trip! (Part 3)

We were finally able to go fishing! The guy running the trip was able to connect with a friend who has a boat, and after some back and forth, we were able to get a period of time where we could go out on the water for ~3 hours and fish to our heart's content. We had a great trip out. I was able to catch and keep two fish (I caught a lot more, but most of them were under regulation size. The worst of it, I had a good number of throwbacks that were millimeters/fractions of an inch shy of the keep length. Still, of the two fish I caught, one of them ranked 3rd for largest/heaviest fish caught! I'm not much of a fish eater (I never really developed a taste for it), so I ended up donating what I caught to the guy who's running the trip. I like to fish, but I usually end up throwing them back once I catch and de-hook them. He ended up covering my two beers once we got back to land and hit up a nearby bar, so there's that. So yeah, a good day all-around! I'm going to get in some more beach combing early tomorrow, as to take advantage of the low tide. It depends on how well I sleep tonight. so fingers crossed! 🤞🤞
