Tanenobu Karen AKA Embassy

The effective ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Free Planetary State of Yiziba to all she meets, this is the Herald of Fight Scenes, Embassy. In the current incarnation, she is the fifth oldest of Moroboshi Tariko's paternal half-sisters, Tanenobu Karen; as with the other SisPri characters introduced in The End of the Circus, her family name is my invention and her full name is written 種信 可憐 in kanji. The stepdaughter of a senior diplomat of Japan, Karen got her Gifting quite honestly even if it was manipulated in the background by Leno Lu'umlo (Millennium) as a favour for Karen's dying paternal grandmother Moroboshi Nagaiwakai, who wanted to ensure there were enough granddaughters (even born out of wedlock, which could be formally adopted into the Moroboshi Clan) available to replace her as Matriarch of the Clan. A very sweet and kind girl, Karen became a telepathic polyglot on Gifting. In other words, with just a simple brain scan, she could easily mimic the spoken language of any humanoid being she meets; her only limitation would be the structure of her own larynx and how it affects the sounds she makes. If she encounters non-humanoid speakers, her telepathy works in the normal way, allowing her to interpret anything mentally "spoken" to her and reply in kind. She gladly and easily trips up any person she meets with her ability to mimic other people's languages so easily; she even gladly helps mediate the very infrequent contact with those societies on Earth who wish to have NO contact with outsiders such as the natives of uncontacted peoples on Earth such as the Sentinelese of South Andaman Island near India. Being what she is, Karen is a keeper of many secrets...and no one is willing to do anything to hurt her to learn said secrets given who her relations are!
