CHAPTER 03

CHAOS O'CLOCK At last, they reached the center of the strange world. There stood an enormous clock. It was far too big. It was far too loud. And it was ticking far too quickly. TICK. TOCK. TICK. TOCK. Suddenly— CRASH! The clock exploded into a storm of spinning gears. Moon grabbed one of the giant clock hands. SUN grabbed an enormous gear. The tiny rabbit-shaped guide flew past them holding a teacup. Keys flew through the air. Flowers spun like propellers. Cards danced across the sky. And the clock began counting backward. 12... 11... 10... “STOP!” Moon pulled. SUN pushed. The clock became even louder. 9... 8... 7... For the first time, they realized something. They could not solve this alone.
