Ruby Rose AKA Blur

The last member of her team of huntresses to embrace the power of the World of the Forge, the weapons-forging native of Patch Island near Vale City already could move very fast using a line-of-sight teleportation-aided semblance which made her seem like a fast-moving shower of rose pedals wherever she sought a new and better position in a fight. Her being Gifted would help her gain true superspeed abilities plus increased strength and invulnerability to match so she could resist the heavy pressure moving through still air at such velocities could unleash on the human body. Her reflexes became just as fast, making it almost next to impossible to land a strike on her the instant she could perceive danger coming her way. A young prodigy who seemed to possess a childish naïveté when it came to the duties of one who fought the creatures of Grimm on a regular basis, Ruby gained a special ability from her late mother Summer Rose: That of the Silver Eyes, the ability to project a cleansing wave of energy from one's orbs to burn down Grimm in airship load lots. This ability first woke in Ruby during the Battle of Beacon, where she - having just witnessed the "death" of Pyrrha Nikos and haunted by the recent public destruction of the body of her gynoid from Penny Polendina from Mantle - would effectively wreck a wyvern (one of the largest Grimm types known) and critically injure Cinder Fall even when Salem's agent had been able to absorb from the recently "deceased" Amber Bailey. That would knock out Ruby for a day until Isaac Thomas (Doctor Renaissance) would get involved and help her recover. In the months after Beacon's "destruction", Ruby would join forces with Pyrrha's former teammates Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie and Liè Ren on a quest to Mantle City to obtain one of the ancient relics of the Two Brothers, then under the control of Haven Academy's turncoat headmaster Leonardo Lionheart. That ad-hoc team would serve as a distraction, making Salem turn away from focusing once more on Vale City as Isaac moved to rebuild things there; to ensure Ruby and the others would remain safe, shipgirls from Earth would shadow the team and take out any serious threats heading their way. Encouraging Ruby along the way was a statement made to her by Neville Longbottom (Vinclozolin), who advised that since Penny's braincase did survive her body being wrecked, the chances were excellent that she could be rebuilt and restored. Of course, finding out Penny was now Operator and in a FULLY ORGANIC body to boot...! Nuts'n'Dolts for the win!
