Yotsuba Nemain Dunn Portrait of the English-born of Moroboshi Tariko's half-sisters, this is Yotsuba Dunn, native of east-end London and inspired by the life of the only living consultave detective also active in Britain's capital city, the legendary Sherlock Holmes himself (the recent BBC television series Sherlock forms a part of the background lore of The End of the Circus). Yotsuba's full name is written in kanji and katakana as 四葉・ネヴァン・ダン. An amateur detective as she was growing up, Yotsuba would soon gain more frightening skills - and background knowledge of a time which would make even the darkest actions of Nazi Germany seem PLAIN in comparison - when she was Gifted as the Master Interrogator; she would choose the Irish term Bleachtaire for the local translation. As much a telepath as her older half-sister Tanenobu Karen (Embassy), Yotsuba's true Gift is the ability to psychically pierce into a target's very mind to drill out secrets which the target would have either naturally forgotten or had been suppressed by outside forces. In this regard, the use of magical masking spells such as obliviation or the Fidelius charm would have no effect on Yotsuba whatsoever. Even more so, she is effectively descent from the Yizibajohei analogue to Nazi Germany itself, Tutota R'batae Kutotuto on the western equatorial continent; another adopted descendant of that territory is Trivia "Neopolitan" Vanille (Danzatrice). When she was still with her stepfather and mother before her move to Japan to join with her half-sisters to be with her sister dearest (and then joined by her brother dearest Moroboshi Ataru), Yotsuba joined forces with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement under Amelia Bones to take down some rioting Death Eaters at the World Quidditch Cup held in the summer of 2010. Thanks to her intervention, Barty Crouch's long-suffering house elf Winky would be declared innocent of using a wand, then would find her way into the service of the Lovegood family (by then, Luna Lovegood had been Gifted as Prophecy) in the wake of that. Of course, Yotsuba was more than happy to threaten Crouch with revealing the truth about his "dead" son to keep him off her back. Despite having a dark side that is as terrifying as the "Darth Eizō" persona sometimes assumed by her half-sister Hirosaki Chikage (Dragonheart) thanks to her recent trip into the universe of a galaxy far, far away, Yotsuba is most often the happy, carefree girl she is depicted in the anime and light novel series.
