Bral Wildsword

Bral Wildsword is an atypical dwarf. Little is known of his ancestral Great Clan, though his volatile temperament might suggest the Great Clan of Tharsûk as his place of origin. Tales are told of great feats mixed with psychotic episodes and acts of brutality utterly uncharacteristic of dwarves. He is said to be afflicted by some malady: some speak of a mighty dragon-slaying warrior who lost his memory and became a savage hermit; others claim he was a notorious oath-breaker who became an outcast. Still others say he is an unscrupulous mercenary who has simply gone senile. The only certainties regarding Bral are the actions he has left in his wake: a fierce addiction to drink, a knack for picking fights, and an insatiable greed for gold (usually to acquire more ale). Bral rarely speaks in anything other than grunts—though he is perfectly capable of communication—usually hurling insults at those he addresses. He wields a Great Runic Axe he calls "Thumper." Strangely, despite shunning the company of his own kind and other races (except when strictly necessary), witnesses report that Bral is occasionally accompanied by a mammoth—a companion for whom he shows genuine affection.
