Hatsuyuki & Shirayuki: Basketball Practice!

I just had to draw the adorable duo from Kantai Collection, Hatsuyuki and Shirayuki, enjoying a sunny day on the court! Their bright smiles and sporty gym uniforms really capture a fun, energetic vibe that I absolutely love. If you enjoy this piece, please leave a like and follow for more art, and let me know what you think in the comments!

character: shirayuki_(kancolle), hatsuyuki_(kancolle) 2girls, from below, low angle, day, outdoors, basketball court, basketball, holding basketball, gym shirt, buruma, blue thighhighs, smile, short hair, long sidelocks, black hair, blunt bangs, dark eyes, brown hair, parted bangs, short twintails, low twintails, brown eyes, looking at viewer, full body, foreshortening, clear sky Seen from a steep low angle looking upward from court level, two girls stand together on an outdoor basketball court under clear daytime sun. On the left, a girl with short black hair cropped at the nape and prominent long sidelocks framing her cheeks leans slightly forward down toward the lens. She grips a textured orange basketball tucked against her right hip, the fingers of her right hand spread across its black rubber seams, while her left arm hangs naturally at her side. She is dressed in a white short-sleeved gym shirt with a rounded collar, dark navy buruma, and form-fitting blue thighhighs that leave a strip of bare skin visible at her upper thighs; her expression is an open, bright smile directed straight down at the viewer. Beside her, a second girl with warm brown hair styled in parted bangs and short, low twintails rests her weight onto her back foot, turning three-quarters toward her companion with a soft, affectionate smile and laughing eyes. She wears an identical white athletic gym shirt, navy buruma, and matching blue thighhighs, with one hand casually placed against her waist. The upward perspective emphasizes the length of their legs before foreshortening toward their shoulders, framing both figures against an expansive azure daytime sky, where the metal frame and net of a basketball hoop loom high in the upper background. Direct overhead sunlight casts clean, sharp drop shadows beneath their sleeves, collars, and the underside of the basketball, while a light breeze tugs slightly at the ends of their sidelocks and twintails. The palette is dominated by stark jersey whites, deep cobalt blue hosiery, vibrant pebble-grain orange, and open sky blue. Sunlit vitality.
