Tendō Akane AKA Cremisi

The hammer-slinging would-be fiancée to the "late" Saotome Ranma, this is Tendō Akane, she being shown now as Gifted as the Hammer of Passion, Cremisi (which is Italian for "crimson"), such showing well on her chosen battlesuit uniform as seen here. An upper-level FISS-type, she also makes use of a carbonized neutronium warhammer which can deliver tonnes of damage to anything that annoys her. She would have been Gifted as a child when she was contacted by Moroboshi Tariko during her great casting drive; this happened shortly after Akane lost her mother Kimiko. However, her father Sōun was quick to sense the oncoming energy rush of the Gifting, then employed one of the many treasures his master Happōsai had stolen over the years - one infused with a lot of ebony mesonium - to block WHATEVER it was that was trying to possess his precious little girl. The Gifting was blocked, but some traits of what she could have become would still shine through as witness her ability to manifest ki mallets whenever she got angry. In the wake of Ranma's transformation into Hayashi Kanami and his/her Gifting as Mustang, Akane would enter a period of quiet self-introspection. This would earn her Tariko's attention again, not to mention that of the just-reborn and Gifted Enoshima Junko (Verzweiflung). Unknown to anyone among the "Nerima wrecking crew", Akane's older sister Nabiki had become a Puella Magi and had used her powers to force people around her - including her family - to behave in a certain way so to give her the ability to maintain some sense of control over the whole situation. Junko homed in on that right away, then attacked Nabiki hard, which alerted Akane. With the interference of Tariko, Margo Black (Doctor Death) and Fukawa Tōko (Völkermord), Nabiki's magic was ripped from her, her eldritch witch other-self given her own life as Tendō Amane, she then being Gifted as the Archduchess. Sadly, the resulting ki explosion nearly killed their older sister Kasumi and rendered the Tendō family homeless. Still, Akane is moving to recover and reclaim her life. Where it leads...is another story.
