The boy keeps his head held strictly upright and vertical without any tilt, his eyelids resting softly shut in quiet focus. Under the brim of his red-and-white baseball cap, spiky black hair tufts over his brow and temples. The girl tilts her head distinctly to her left to meet his lips, her eyes completely closed and lashes relaxed against her cheeks. Her two hands reach up to rest gently against the sides of his face, both palms cupping his cheeks with slender fingers curved along his jawline. The boy's right arm wraps around her torso, his right palm planted flat against the mid-blade of her back to hold her close, while his left arm reaches up so his left hand rests cupped directly behind the back of her head, his fingers lightly threading into her voluminous, chestnut-brown hair. She wears a sleeveless black dress that leaves her shoulders exposed, her glossy hair cascading down past her back, while he is dressed in a red short-sleeved jacket over a dark undershirt. Surrounding them is a lush green forest of moss-covered tree trunks and soft ferns receding into a soft-focus background. Warm golden sunlight filters through the high canopy leaves, casting circular discs of dappled light across the brim of his cap, her cheek, and the fabric of her dress, while floating specks of pollen drift visibly within the beam of light. Tender and serene.
