Paladin AU: A normal life

The young boy gives it all to train the sword, perhaps in a world where demons and magic doesn't exist, he could've lived a peaceful life...alas this is but a brief respite for when he wakes up reality awaits him again.

More to See

1boy, solo, young man, early 20s, long brown hair, brown eyes, scar on left cheek, facial scar, fencing uniform, white fencing jacket, high collar, fitted fencing breeches, white breeches, bare head, no headgear, long hair loose and damp, sweat, profuse sweat, sweat on face, sweat on neck, sweat-darkened collar, drenched, panting, open mouth, gritted teeth, intense expression, focused, lunging, fencing lunge, front leg deep bent, back leg extended straight, single rapier, one sword only, right hand gripping rapier hilt, left arm flung back for balance, from side, profile, full body, track field, running track, red rubber track lanes, white lane lines, outdoor sports ground, late afternoon sunlight, long cast shadow, low sun, warm rim light, dutch angle, slight low angle, motion in hair, dynamic pose Seen in a low three-quarter side view, the young man holds a deep fencing lunge along a red running track, his body cut across the frame from lower left to upper right. His front knee is bent sharply over the front foot, the rear leg stretched straight behind him, rear heel lifted so only the ball of the foot presses the rubber; his right hand grips the single rapier's hilt, arm extended, the slim blade running out ahead of him and dipping toward a lane line, and his left arm is flung back and slightly up, hand open, counterbalancing the drive forward. His head is turned in profile toward the point of the blade, chin lifted, brown eyes fixed past the tip at an opponent who is not there; sweat runs from his hairline down his temple and jaw, one drop hanging at his chin, and the white high collar of the fencing jacket is dark and clinging where it meets his neck. Long brown hair has come loose from the motion and swings forward across his shoulder and back, several damp strands stuck to his scarred left cheek; the pale scar shows clearly on that cheek, unshadowed. He wears the full white fencing uniform — padded jacket, high collar, fitted breeches, long socks, fencing shoes — and his head is completely bare, nothing on his crown, the whole of his face and hair open to the air. The track fills the frame around him: red rubber surface with white lane lines sweeping past in perspective, the lines broken and slightly blurred where they run away from the camera, faint dark scuff marks and grains of rubber under his shoes. Behind him the track curves off into an empty stadium edge of low fencing and grass, thrown far out of focus. Low late-afternoon sun rakes in from the left edge of frame, hot and orange, striking the lit side of his face, shoulder and front thigh, running a bright rim along the bangs and the extended blade, while his back and the underside of the lunge fall into cooler shadow; his long shadow stretches across the lanes to the right. Palette drawn from sun-warm skin, the white uniform gone faintly cream in the low light, the deep red of the track and the pale lane lines, with the steel of the rapier catching one hard white glint. The sweat is the revealer: the fabric over his shoulders and chest is darkened and stuck to him, and a single drop falls from his chin, caught mid-air. Gritty, exhausted, utterly committed.
