Honoka & Marie Rose's Cozy Slumber Party

I absolutely adore this quiet moment between Honoka and Marie Rose from Dead or Alive! Seeing these two opposites relaxing side-by-side on the bed just melts my heart, and the soft lighting really highlights their unique charm. If you love these girls as much as I do, please leave a like and follow for more content!

character: marie_rose, honoka_(doa), copyright: dead_or_alive, dead_or_alive_5 2girls, marie rose, twintails, blonde hair, long hair, black ribbon hair ornament, x hair ornament, blue eyes, small build, bikini, honoka (doa), long pink hair, skull hair ornament, red eyes, bikini, lying on bed, on back, dead, lifeless body, blank unfocused eyes, limp arms, limp hands, slack open mouth, legs entwined, legs between legs, overlapping legs, inner thighs pressed together, bare feet, bare shoulders, futon, white sheets, pillow, from above, overhead view, foreshortening, looking up, half-closed eyes, motionless, pale skin, soft lamplight, spoken_heart The camera looks straight down from directly above the bed. Two young women lie laid out side by side on their backs across a white-sheeted bed, heads toward the lower part of the frame, bodies receding slightly up and away with foreshortening, the lines of their outstretched legs converging toward the upper middle of the frame. On the left lies the short blonde girl, her long hair fanned in two loose twintails across the pillow and sheet, a black ribbon bow at one side of her head, her small frame slack — one arm fallen out to the side with the palm turned up and fingers loosely curled, the other resting across the sheet beside her hip; her chin has lolled toward her shoulder, her lips parted, her blue eyes half-open and fixed on nothing, no focus in them. On the right lies the pink-haired girl, her long pink hair spread out in a wide halo on the pillow, a small skull-shaped ornament caught in the strands, her red eyes likewise open and empty, staring up past the lens, her head tilted slightly toward the other girl; her arms lie heavy and flat along the mattress. Each wears a bikini — the blonde's a blue two-piece with frilled edges sitting on her hips and a small bow at the chest band; the pink-haired girl's a pale bikini, both sets pulled snug with no adjustment, the fabric creased where their weight presses it into the sheet. Their legs are drawn together and overlapped in the middle of the bed: the blonde's thigh laid across the pink-haired girl's, the pink-haired girl's other leg slid back beneath it, knees bent and sagging outward, calves and bare feet slack and crossing so that the legs lie pressed one between the other at the crotch, hips close and the inner thighs flush together, the mattress dented under every point of contact, the sheet puckered and dragged into shallow folds around their hips and heels. Nothing in either body holds tension: shoulders dropped into the mattress, ribcages shallow, hands not gripping anything. The room beyond the bed is dark and out of focus at the edges of the frame. A single warm lamp stands off to the right of the bed and is the only light source; it rakes across the two bodies from the right side, brightening the pink-haired girl's shoulder, cheek and thigh, grazing the blonde girl's upturned palm and the bow at her chest, and dropping the left side of the bed and the space beyond the mattress into deep shadow. The lamp casts soft doubled shadows of their legs onto the sheet to the left, and each body throws a faint shadow onto the other where they overlap. The palette is restricted to warm lamplight amber, cool pale skin, the white of the sheet and the pillow, and the two swimsuits' blue and pale tones, with the blonde and pink hair the only saturated colour. The sheet's wrinkles and the pressed hollows under their hips and heels are drawn in detail; the background is simplified. A small hand-drawn heart, a symbol only with no lettering, sits in a tiny speech bubble beside the blonde girl's parted lips. Quiet, unnerving stillness.
