Light comes from the lanterns and from the pumpkins: warm orange from below on the girls' chins and knees, cooler violet from the lantern strings falling across their shoulders and hair, deep black in the gaps between stalls. The pumpkins throw their own low shadows outward across the cobbles and the balloons glow faintly where the lantern light passes through them. Palette held to orange, purple, black, hot pink and white, the pink of Nezuko's jacket and Mitsuri's hair the loudest things in frame. Festive, electric.
