1girl, solo, knight, full plate armor, pauldrons, gauntlets, halberd, holding weapon, polearm, riding, astride, crocodile, giant crocodile, reptile, animal riding, from below, low angle, foreshortening, dutch angle, looking down at viewer, open mouth, grin, teeth, windblown hair, plume, cape flowing, riverbank, muddy ground, reeds, shallow water, splashing, muscular tail, scales, sunlight, backlight, dust motes, dramatic perspective, dynamic pose The camera sits low and close, tilted a few degrees off level, looking up at a young knight in full plate armor astride an enormous crocodile. She straddles the animal's broad back just behind the shoulders: her hips settle into the ridge where the neck meets the torso, her inner thighs clamp the scaly sides, one knee drawn up and the other foot braced down against the flank, and her left fist grips the leather reins wrapped once around her gauntlet while her right hand holds a tall halberd upright and slightly canted forward, its steel head cutting into the sky above her shoulder, the shaft braced between her fingers and the crocodile's shoulder plate. Both greaves press flat; the sabaton on the near side digs a hard notch into the mud. She is caught leaning back into the rising tilt, one pauldron thrown higher than the other, cape whipped out sideways and twisting with the turn, dust and thin water spray lifted where the crocodile has just hauled itself up the bank. Her helm sits low on her brow, a plume streaming back off it. She peers down the length of the halberd with a wide open-mouthed grin, eyes narrowed under the shadowed visor line, fixed on the viewer. The crocodile's great head swings up at the end of the neck, jaws cracked just open, one yellow eye set in a bony ridge catching the light, the long ridged tail curving off behind her into churned shallow water and reeds, its belly sliding over the mud so the bulk of the animal reads as weight, not decoration. Morning sun comes in low from behind the pair, rim-lightning the halberd edge, the crocodile's wet scutes, the plume and every point of her armor, and the ground drops off from there into warmer shadow with the animal's shadow thrown far out in front of the camera; every scale below the waterline goes dark. Color holds to cold steel grey and blue on the knight, sun-bronze armor edges, the muddy green-brown of the crocodile layered against a hot hazy off-white sky, with a single startling high-chroma note in the plume and the muddy splash. The halberd is the sharpest shape in the frame; the crocodile's scales and the armor's scratches carry the fine detail. Fierce and triumphant.
