pov, extreme close-up, from inside mouth, first-person view, looking toward back of throat, 1 girl, mouth interior, teeth, sharp teeth, upper teeth row, lower teeth row, tongue, long uvula, deep gullet, esophagus, back of throat, throat, drinking, swallowing, water, water stream, gulping, tongue flexing, uvula flexing, throat flexing, wet, saliva, fleshy wet surfaces, pink wet flesh, no text, no speech bubble, detailed mouth, highly detailed The camera sits inside the mouth itself, at the front-root of it, low, tipped upward and forward so the frame is filled edge to edge by the interior and the whole picture looks back down the throat. In the upper corners of the frame the front teeth hang into view as a row of sharp incisors and canines, each tapering to a fine point with light catching along the cutting edges, the gum line behind them pink and glistening; the lower row rises to meet them from the bottom corners, their points slightly out of register with the uppers because the jaw is mid-swallow. Ahead of the camera the tongue fills the floor of the frame, a broad wet muscle of a deep rosy pink, its surface a field of tiny papillae wet enough to break the light into hard little highlights; it arches and hollows, the middle drawing into a channel while the tip lifts slightly and presses back, guiding a thread of water along it. Over the tongue the water runs as a clear flowing stream and a gathered sheen, sliding over the swell of the muscle toward the throat, breaking into thin skeins at the point where the tongue is flexing. Dead centre, at the far end of the tunnel, the back wall of the throat stands open and deep. The uvula hangs long from the soft palate, far longer than a common one, a plump pendulous drop of wet pink flesh that sways back and forth with each gulp, tilting toward the entering water and drawing up a half-beat as the swallow pulls it; a thin trail of water and saliva glazes it and drips from its tip. Behind and below it the gullet opens as a dark, deep red-violet well, narrowing into the esophagus, and that passage is visibly contracting — the walls of it gathered in rings, peristalsis working downward, the wet lining bunching and relaxing in rhythm so that the throat is never still. The arch at the back of the palate is a curve of taut pink tissue pulled tight by the swallow, and the soft palate lifts and settles just above the hang of the uvula. All light is ambient wet flesh lit from the mouth's own opening behind the camera: a frontal, close, slightly warm source that catches the sharpest specular points on the incisor tips, the wet bulge of the tongue and the shining surface of the uvula, and that falls off into shadow deep in the gullet, so the throat's depths go dark while its rings still read at the edge of that darkness. Colour is confined to wet tissue and water: rose, deep pink, crimson, the violet-brown of the deep throat, the white of reflected highlights, and the clear grey-white of the water stream — nothing else is admitted anywhere in the frame. Shadows are soft-edged and short; the darkness is concentrated centrally and at depth, with no bright area unexplained. The water film is the revealer: it thickens over the tongue, thins to a transparent skin over the teeth, beads and drips from the uvula, and its direction of flow shows the pull of the swallow at every stage. Close on the throat's wet anatomy, insistent and uneasy.
